hextech crafting question

if i am playing a champ i havn't got a loot box on in a party with someone who has gotten a loot box on their champ.. and they get an "S" will i get the lootbox on the champ i was on because I'm in thier party? or will i not get it because they had already got an "S" and a lootbox for that champ??
