Help Me Play Alistar

Nami changed for me the day I realize that her bubble is most dangerous before it's cast. So long as it's a threat, people have to watch her or get smashed. Top lane changed for me the day I realized the name of the game is patience.

I still haven't found a similar revelation with Alistar. I think my major problem is that I'm obsessed with knocking someone back under our tower, and that everyone sees it coming and screws me. Ok so I get that I don't do that. But what SHOULD I be doing I guess is the question.

I like the champ despite thinking Tank Supports beyond the anointed (Taric/Leona) aren't great right now. I love that his passive is an occasionally heal. And I'm trying to get boxes for champs before I join ranked (about 3 months after the season starts).

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

It really depends who you are laning against. If its against Leona, its a farm lane unless Leona is stupid. You just stand in front of your ADC and Leona will never try to hook in. If your vs squishy ranged supports you gotta wait till 2. Then you gotta bait them to over extend. Then Headbutt pulverize ( preferably somewhere where your ADC can follow up) do some damage and walk away. Best bet is to full combo after they miss a skillshot so you know you will come out on top in the trade.

Unless you have E going, just walk away after you combo or you will just keep giving away free damage.

Thats the problem I see with unexperienced supports. They will initiate far away from ADC and theres no follow up. They will just give away free damage to the enemy and now you are disadvantaged. Another problem is they dont know how to walk away. They will full combo and start auto attacking and taking lots of minion aggro and almost die after chugging all thier pots. Giving a quick love tap with some CC and walking away is not too hard and saves you a lot of health. At least 1 AA cause Uppercuts are kewl.

Play reactive, Play aggressive, and when they fuck up show em the Horns.
