Jhin's can perform well in every role.
Yes even in support, although of the 5 it is the weakest since income is limited, but the cc, poke, and damage are there. Who else can?

I've had very good success in every single role. She has the rare distinction of being just as good in every role. I didn't find her to be lacking in any one role.
Gonna have to try Kayle ADC I guess.

Kayle is an AWFUL support and a pretty bad adc. She needs farm to make her autos hit hard and fast and she needs levels to get the base damage on her E. Being in a duo lane denies her levels, being a support also denies her farm. Plus her range of threat is pretty weak and she doesn't have the mobility or utility to make up for it.
Dunno about her jungle right now but that isn't popular, probably since her ganks are bad and she tends to lose duels early.

Kayle has been used in the pro scene as a top-lane, jungle, mid-lane, and support pick.
As a support she still has a pretty solid heal and speed boost, her early game is insane due to the bases on E, and her ult is still game-changing with or without items. Her passive also helps her marksman buddy do more damage similar to other support possibilities like Leona. Kayle's ult is also one of the best protect the carry skills in the game, and amazing at totally screwing over an assassination attempt. As far as utility goes: doesn't get much better than invulnerability for your allies.
She's far from awful at supporting.

I have never heard of a pro picking her as a support and would very much like to see that.

Was mostly a season 4 thing when that happened if you want to find other videos, but Kayle really hasn't changed since then, outside of buffs/nerffs hitting various numbers and her ult becoming a manaless skill.
If you feel her level of utility isn't enough: Kayle also applies Rylie's slow with her E, which is all kinds of derppy given how potent Rylie's slow is at the moment.

I'm actually glad people feel this way. I always catch everyone off guard. She's my secret OP pick. She is Yi/Jax/Xin level broken once you take the time to learn her and I love how no one knows this.
Yes, she takes time to ramp up, I'll give you that but regardless of what role she starts in, if you play her carefully, she becomes a beast by mid-late game, even in the support role. The only reason I even play her support is the chance at carrying should my AD Carry or mid laner fail to do so.
Well... this is... interesting.
Jhin's too squishy to go top, he has no sustain for jg plus he's too immobile to go in for ganks quickly(unlike someone like Graves or Quinn), his ADC doesn't gain any benefits for him going support besides and occasional snare(which is hard to hit it, by the way). As for his ADC and Mid roles, he's already getting some nerfs to his Q(lower dmg and higher mana cost) so he can't rush Infinity Edge and dominate early. Other than that, he's probably one of the most balanced ADCs on release.
I've seen top and jg both do well although not nearly as often as ADC. Support tried a few times and have had moderate success with since you tend to just be a lane bully. As for his nerfs, I haven't heard of them yet so that might change my opinion of him.
Do you mean lane? Cause I'm sure jhin can't tank nor deal heavy magic damage like mages. Also his jungle is subpar since he's easily susceptible to invades not to mention top-wise if he overextends unlike others who get caught out top he's not only immobile but squishy with no on-demand safety spell.
I've never seen any champ who can do all lanes except for maybe quinn, graves, kindred, urgot, and out of all of those kindred has the highest amount of tools to make combat lanes, jungle, and support work consistently.
I do mean lanes, my mistake for not making that clear.
adc picks in mid? NUKE IT
