The problem with Thunderlord's isnt just that it's strong...

It's also that it fits with too many champions. Think about it: every burst mid laner/assassin, caster top laners (renekton, pantheon, etc), caster junglers (vi, lee, eve), and certain caster ads (lucian, ezreal)

Even if it gets nerfed again, certain champions are always going to take it. I think it would best if it were reworked into three parts - one for assassins, one for ap ranged casters, and one for ad casters.

Thoughts?

The problem with thunderlord is they buffed it to a lower then 20 second CD late game, You don't care about the nerf to early game thunderlord since all you care about is landing it once or twice early game. but when they decided to stupidly buff a good keystone when it was balanced and the other keystones were comparable to it again was it's downfall.

THey need to nerf it back to a 20 second CD at lvl 18, I don't care if lvl 1 is a 30, 25 or 20 second CD but at no point in the game should level 18 be under 20 seconds CD

my concern is that thunderlords is by far the best of all the offensive keystones, any champion with a DoT effect can proc it with a single ability and other champions can just bust a move and deal insane early damage. I like it myself but not on champions I don't feel it should work with. that said it shouldn't be in the cunning tree it is clearly and offensive ability whereas the cunning tree focuses on undermining the defenses of your opponent. they added a mastery to the cunning tree for assassins that benefits a solo lane and a defensive one for duo lanes, however they still don't add the kind of power that thnderlords does, heck even the deathfire touch isn't as powerful because all its damage is done so slowly that anyone with a health pot can outheal it

That's because it's simply a little extra burst that is really effective early game.

Of course every champion can fit well with more damage....

It isn't even just that it's strong. It pairs really well with the flat hybrid penetration mastery. I would argue the hybrid pen mastery in Cunning is stronger than both of the %Pen masteries combined.

I would love it if Riot combined the two %Pen masteries and then moved the flat pen over to the red tree. Then make a new high end blue mastery. Maybe a nice chunk of flat AP and AD?

It's good early on, but if they're not building significant damage then it's not going to be effective.

Oh champs that have a hard time getting 3 procs effectively it's also kinda bad.

Though my only concern is how the procs work is really inconsistent.

and how do you rework it to fit assasins without getting abused by everyone else? And for casters, we theoretically have deathfire, it just finally needs to last 3 sec on aoe and get some basedamage/lvl
