PSA: If you rage, please just don't tell people to kill themselves

Even disregarding the extremely small chance that they really do, what the fuck? They LITERALLY did something mean to you in a video game... so you want them to die? I know that obviously it's exaggeration, but please, be srs. There is literally nothing that a player could do in a game that they should kill themselves over, not even remotely. So please, stop with tis and all similar things (i. e. get insert deadly disease)

EDIT: Holy shit that's a lot of responses. Anyway,, I just want to be clear: I understand raging in general. I've called people fucking scumbags and the like many times (not that this is ok), but death threats/kill yourselves things take it from being kind of annoying/toxic to an extreme and unacceptable level.

suicide affects more people every day. up-voted because people really shouldn't be at that point over a single game.

Had an ally get mad at our Jungler recently. When he was told to chill out and "it's not hard to be nice", he went on about school shootings and claiming mass murder was the norm where he's from, and with that he tried to argue that he couldn't be nice. Really? What place does that have in this game?

This crap really bothers me... Its a game guys, stop getting all bent out of shape. Words hurt, and you never know to what extent. So please stop.

There are people that say "Why are you so bothered by people being assholes in league? It's just a game."

Why are you so bothered by a game that you have to be an asshole?

Definitely agree. My best friend and I used to play league and he committed suicide less than a year ago and if someone told me this irl, I can guarantee thatthey wont say it again.

Best part is that you think it's an exaggeration. Plenty of times, people actually mean it and wish for it to happen. And if you want to know why, it's probably because that person has realized that the value of a total strangers life is nothing. At all. You won't meet them, you won't know if they even do actually kill themselves. It's entirely irrelevant to the person saying the words.

I've helped enough people through low points in their life to say that it does, in fact, actually hurt people. Stupid little things like some fourteen-year-old telling them to kill themselves on a video game can be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Please, there is a line and telling people to kill themselves is definitely crossing it.

Instead tell the enemy to kill them.

So not saying that I do this in any way but what if it's like a joke with a friend or something. Just like I feel like whenever I say something mean people always take it for what it is. They don't ever think that it could be an inside joke.
