Holy shit... those Xin changes are ACTUALLY going through??

Gonna do the usual over buffing a champ then nerf the hell out of them next patch.

Or its going to cause power creep for a whole lot of other champs

Ionian10 votes

Ahri now always heals from every spell hit and her Q does % max hp true damage on both instances.

Skelenth5 votes

Don't give them ideas!

Definitely Bait1 votes

Nah just change her passive to +20% ap scaling. Make her q 10% max hp true damage on the pass back. Oh and for extra fun give spirit rush 60% ap scaling.

What could ever go wrong with that? coughs

and if ahri hits 3 spells on an opponent it does 70% max health true damage.

I await more Lee buffs.

Death by Glamour5 votes

I actually see him being used more in toplane.

Good early game trading, sustain and all in.

Vekkna14 votes

In other words, "good at everything." Because Lee.

Melledoneus7 votes

I guess you could say Riot Lee-Sinned to us.

Hah hah... heh...

...please stop buffing Lee Sin...

Xela Syab2 votes

Why wouldn't they buff Irelia and Aatrox too they have similar passive sustains and are probably in more need of buffs instead of Xin.

Death by Glamour1 votes

Then more champs would have to recieve buffs as they would fall behind. Then renekt9n would have to be buffed as the toplane bully wiuld be to weak to fight these champs and the cycle would start all over again.

Far better to target the strong champs with nerfs rather than random buffs to chanps.

Gotta make it so his ult also does 25% max health true damage and the other damage ignores 50% armor.

Melledoneus6 votes

They're planning to add an AoE silence knockup for every enemy hit by Lee Sin's ultimate. Here's the quote:

"We plan to make Lee Sin less of a "good at everything" fighter and make him more reasonable in the meta. We're looking to shift him from a "jack of all trades" jungler to a "jack of all lanes" champion. We feel this will promote counterplay.

Also, 3 AD. We're adding a 3 AD ratio to Lee Sin's recall damage, which is a global AoE."

Only the best for Rito's poster boy. Since aparently when the lee players complain about his nerfs rito is ALL TO HAPPY to revert them. But when morde players cry out about the abomination rito created? naw, because morde isn't capable of #LC$BIGPLAYS.

Melledoneus1 votes

Well, at least Riot listened to the likes of Malicious Metal and at least tried to balance him.

They literally shipped out new Shen and forgot about him lol

teamstar1 votes

Still allows him to get a heal every 2 autos though

Catastrop1 votes

It's not like that part is new.

Phoenix Kotori 5 votes

A. it was bugged on PBE massively increasing his healing ratio on accident.

B. The crit is on attack not hit, so doesn't go ballistic with sated.

Could still be an issue but I dont think will turn out super OP.

Looknook4 votes

Devourer doesn't interact with his 3 auto crit.

KyroRayne3 votes

As a Leona main, I see no problem with these changes as I can keep him cc'd long enough for my ADC to make him like the squishy he is with that build.

3TWarrior13 votes

squishy? he'd have almost 100 in both armor and magic resist, 3000+ hp and enough damage to literally one-shot the ADC if they come anywhere near him

all he needs is literally 1 second, see my above post in reply to another

KyroRayne4 votes

We would have to be in a bad position for him to get to my adc that easily. Also, 100 armor and MR is crap. If he had just SV, he'd still pop extremely easily. If he had Sunfire (which is stupid when you could take DMP for the MS and damage) and SV, that's still less than 3k HP, minimal resists, and I can lock him down for 2-4 seconds which is more than enough to kill him.

Also, that build is just terrible...

WadeWilson13372 votes

Xin isnt going to play that build. 99% sure he will go in a mix of the Yi/Shyvana build; Devourer Rageblade MAYBE bork into tank

Serika Zero2 votes

You don't need Botrk, he now has automatic heal every 3'rd auto attack (which means it works with devourer). You'd probably go item 3931 item 3053 and more tank stats. With possible follow up items: item 3156 item 3142 item 3742 item 3143 item 3065 item 3124item 3748

junglerboy163 votes

Nobody seems to have realized that the videos from that first day were when the new effect was seriously bugged out and working far better than intended.

MrBuffington8 votes

I think people realized that; Riot's been pretty forward about the mistake. The thing is, it's still a massive buff on a very binary champion who was in a decent spot already.

WadeWilson13372 votes

Xin had the lowest winrate out of all relevant devourer junglers. Even behind not particularly good ones such as Nocturne

MrBuffington7 votes

He had a pretty average win rate overall, though. Especially considering Xin is one of those binary, ball-of-stats champions that Riot deliberately keeps undertuned since they are much more difficult to deal with when they're powerful

EDIT: This isn't me saying that Xin should never be buffed; this is me saying that he needs a rework that gives more ways to interact with his kit before he can be buffed.

bobsenbob1 votes

true true, I definitely think xin needs no buffs and is in a fine state, but then again, fiora is at a 51% winrate, yet everybody still calls her"op easy to use one shot anyone"

bvcderrttyyhjjjk2 votes

Don't worry Riot's logic got this. Buff Xin cause he's not enough of a point and click powerhouse. But then nerf Gangplank, because god forbid playing a high skill high damage champion.

AMYS GRAVE2 votes

I think you're forgetting that he can synergize with the new duskblade item.

CaptnJakSparrow1 votes

Why would you get infinity edge . . . lol.

3TWarrior3 votes

his 3rd proc (second with devourer...) adds 60% crit damage so with infinity edge adding another 50% onto any crit, he effectively gets a free attack every second attack for damage purposes, so, effectively that gives him a free extra 88 damage (due to the item itself) then due to his base AD, 110 damage...essentially, his damage per hit would dramatically increase

for specifics, in the build listed, xin would have somewhere around 235 AD (idk about runes but lets say they might be able to bump it to 250 total with masteries)

now then, 250 AD now means every second attack he crits for an additional 275 damage and if he has warlord's bloodlust, he heals for a large portion of that

275 damage for the price of 2 autos

let's calculate if they have 2000 hp for this setup

first, they get hit for 200 (his E), then (BOTRK 108)+ 250 (auto base) + 60 (devourer); next toss out a Q(they will first take damage twice from BOTRK, so the calculations here at 1382 remaining hp make it come to a total of 165 (if active Q, I believe that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 to 350 extra damage, don't remember specifically + the original 250 AD for this auto attack reset) + 120 devourer + 275 crit damage

that's over 1600 damage in 0.4 seconds (add in 625 more if xin's first hit crit as well which 1/5 isn't too unlikely) so xin has the potential for literally 2225 damage in an instant combo,

now then, if we factor in guinsoo's, the potential damage is much much higher

but let's check things, I skipped about here and there (for instance the crit would knock off like 50 or more damage from botrk's second attack but let's go with 2200 damage or actually 2020 because 180 is in magic damage, which the carry may or may not have MR)

2020 x 0.7(adc armor) = 1414 damage and then 180 more from devourer and then guinsoo's, it's really a quite astonishing amount of damage

if I remember correctly, his ultimate is at least 400 base + 15% of the target's max hp....though anyone may correct me, i'm just giving an average number here (I was wrong, it's 275 + 100% bonus AD so roughly 410 and then 15% of target's current hp)

even with all reductions in place, xin zhao literally just annihilated the ADC in ONE second

he then has at least 90 in armor and magic resistance + 3k+ hp

So, in conclusion, it is superior to the sunfire cape option

I basically have to disregard this entirely long discussion just because of this one sentence.

his 3rd proc (second with devourer...) <-- They intentionally made it so sated does not proc the crit, nor does it lower the timer of the crit. So, you cannot "double crit" nor do you crit every other attack.

I.E costs too much to be worth it.

You're better off item 3142 item 3156 with one of those.

IE has 20% crit. that means you have a chance to get a double or triple crit. that means the adc gets deleted faster then they can react, and you get to feel really cool.

Or I can get a youmuus and end the game before you even have enough gold to buy infinity edge.

kk.

Hard Penetrator1 votes

Come on. Xin weaknesses are still the same. I played a good chunk of games with him after Sated and while I felt op in "all in brawls", I also felt really useless against players that had tons of slows, cc and knew how to poke and kite back. As Xin you are practically sitting Duck against mobile characters with good disengage (Ez+Janna).

I do admit it might feel absolutely broken against less experienced players, and only "a bit too strong" against good ones.

GhastlyGhoulMan1 votes

Welp, now's as good a time as any to get to gold. ;)
