What if Riot gave newer players a chance to get old Victorious skins?

Now I know what you're thinking, "But the entire point is because a player did well in that specific season!" But what if there was a small except for players who did extremely well that season.

Normally, you hit Gold, and boom, you got the skin. Other than that there is really no practical reason to climb the ladder. What do players get for being Challenger other than the boarder and possibly slight internet fame?

This is where my idea comes in. What if any player who hits Master or higher at the end of the season got a bonus award. A kinda "Best of the Best" award. What if they had to opportunity to get an older Victorious skin.

However, there would be requirements. Firstly, you must hit Master tier or Challenger. Secondly, you have to have full champion mastery with the champion you want the skin for (ex: if you want Victorious Jarvan you need to have 'mastered'). And lastly, you must have a certain amount of ranked wins with that champion that season. Going back to the J4 example, you would also need at least, say 100, wins in ranked with J4 that season.

This would give players another goal to strive for. Instead of, "whelp, hit gold, back to normals," people would want to climb higher because there would actually be a legitimate award.

Now, the biggest problem is obviously players who already have the skins and don't think it's fair for others to be able to get them. But if someone who hadn't been around for previous seasons hit Challenger, I don't think people would be too pissed if they got something for that.

Think about it. Let's say a guy joins this game tomorrow. Never played once. Let's also say he happens to be a natural at the game. Let's say he then goes on to main Elise and in the remainder of the season hits challenger with her. That guy deserves something. At least let players who meet the previously stated requirements be able to then buy the skin. Meaning not only did they do well, but they then paid to get the skin.

I'd like it if they gave players who got to gold a choice between one of the Victorious skins. It just seems a little unfair to be rewarded with a skin for a champion you don't even play, when the champion you main had a skin a season before you even discovered the game.

choice is always good

I'm never going to play maokai unless he somehow becomes an instant team deleting machine.

I like that idea. I'm trying for Diamond right now and have pretty much mained Janna this season (started in Silver, am Plat atm).

But I don't have Victorious Janna because I started league around the time Yasuo was released D:

I don't think anyone who gets G5 and then quits will realistically get master/challenger in a year.

I agree tho some people who just didn't have the opportunity and played back then should be given another shot, there would be back lash tho if I remember correctly people were pissed about the whole bringing back championship riven.
