Decent and pleasent discussion about Riven as well her (possible?) balance issues

Since many people QQ about Riven (not me though), I thought about it and noticed, how about decreasing basic abilities power, but increasing her ultimate bonuses as well putting the cast time to 20sec?

Or even the same treatment as Nidalee, her ultimate passively increases the power of abilities when leveled. I dunno, just random ideas. But imo, champs like her (Fiora, Trynda, etc) should have a great late game rather than having a decent overall state in every stages.

Personally to me my only concern is her shield scalling with AD (it makes 0 sense, c'mon), but my fear is that she gets wrecked like other champs due to this QQ. I don't play her very often, but she's a fun champ and I like to have the biggest number of champions playable on the meta. I don't want her to get into the Elise/Kha'zix treatment, I want her to be viable but not obnoxious as some people say she is.

What are your thoughts about her, what her biggest pros and cons, and what kind of changes do you believe she should have? And please, even if you hate the champion, try to make her balanced, not destroyed, use common sense.
