Both thunderlords decree and fervor were so much more healthy than their current counterparts

(being electrocute and conqueror)

I mean, the whole rune + mastery system was a lot more balanced than the mess we have right now where champs have low base armor and mr and almost every rune increases your damage.

I think the best way to start to balance the game is bringing runes back in some form so champs have more defensive stats early on and reverting those keystones.

Do you know what's the saddest part? That Riot already removed the runes and masteries so now they can't go back.

Also they have been pumping out damage and burst and reworked kits around this idea for a while and now the game is a steaming pile of sh*t.

I am starting to believe that they won't be trying to fix these issues. This game is a whole mess.

From champions like Zoe to burst sh*tty runes like electrocute.

Never forget Seasons 1-5, when Masteries had pretty minor effects and there were no keystones :(

I liked having the raw stats from Runes up until their removal too (rip 1% crit rune for lucky lane trades), but it's unfortunate we'll never go back to those days.

They didn't remove masteries. They just removed runes and changed the masteries around and renamed them to runes.

Conqueror wasn't meant to be a 'mirror' to Fervor. Press the Attack was; however, the original version of PTA that kept the most similarity to Fervor was deemed too similar to Lethal Tempo, so they swapped it out to the current iteration.

What Conqueror is supposed to do is take the trading pattern of Grasp of the Undying (which Riot believed Bruisers to like) and give it more raw offensive power, rather than the 'occasional pop-of-damage scaling on defense' that Grasp gives. They could've done this without the true damage pop imho, but otherwise I think it does its job.

Thunderlord's had lower numbers yes, but the cooldown was half what Electrocute's is, it was easier to proc, and it dealt AOE damage (albiet in a very small area). It also only ever dealt Magic Damage, so AD assassins didn't get any benefit from their Lethality when applying its damage.

Taking all of that into account, if Electrocute were changed to take Thunderlord's AOE damage (which would probably have been made larger) and its proc pattern, it'd be far more powerful than it is right now. That's not even taking the cooldown into account, which is a lot lower early on, and still quite a bit lower in the later parts of the game.

It was also so universally applicable to any champion that rarely could you go wrong in picking it up.

League of Thunderlords is something I did not enjoy.

Urgot Crying in item 3070 for bringing back Fervor.

Id honestly rather both be removed and have damage come from the actual champion kits + items themselves.

I mean Conqueror sucks but yeah I'd prefer Fervor because it made more champions viable.
