Can anyone help me learn a mechanic?

So when I'm trying to kite people, I always have to click in front of me to walk, then move my mouse all the way back to the person behind me to attack him, then move the mouse all the way back to in front of me to walk. I mean, I've gotten to gold doing that shit, right?

But then I'm watching people stream, and they keep their mouse way away in the direction they're walking all the time, yet their champs always stop, turn around and auto the target they want to attack, and then keep moving, all without moving their mouse. That looks ten times easier!

So is there a special amount of button pressing I need to do to pull that off? Or is there a special option to turn this on in the settings?

Press A to attack

Pressing A makes me stop, turn around and automatically attack the last target I attacked?

I think so, not sure, just i know thats what a few of my adc friends have said makes farming a lot easier, so i am assuming that is what the people you are watching on streams are doing too

Go into a custom game by yourself and find the "attack-move" or something similar to that.

You're not alone on that. Actually it's extremely hard to auto with your right click. Like Wolf said

mess around with which setting works best for you. But you'll want to learn it. It takes a little practice, but pays off exponentially on every champ.

If that's extremely hard, then learning this shortcut might get me in challenger some day. :u

Well, I tried it out, and unfortunately, the only options for "attack-move" are "Attack the guy closest to you" and "Attack the guy closest to your mouse." There isn't the option of "Attack the last target you've attacked" on it. I wish there was. But thanks!

There's no setting that makes you attack the guy you last attacked. What those pro-players have done is binded left click to attack move, and when you attack move while no one is near it will just attack anyone who is close to you, in which case it would be the guy your kiting. If he's in a minion wave, you'd need to move your mouse back to click on him but it doesn't have to be 100% accurate.

If I were you, I'd set my left-click to auto attack. It used to be a really complicated setup but now they added to the settings. It's extremely useful and I'd suggest it to anyone that plays any champion that relies on auto-ing or even champs that don't rely on autoing. It gives you so much more control over your champion, ranged or not, and makes orb-walking so easy. Just for reference, I don't play ADC at all, and I play mainly melee champs or mages, but I still orb-walk and kite like a pro because I set left-click to auto attack. It takes a few games to get used to, but once you do, it feels so good that you can't play another moba without it again.
