I don't mind Ornn but his release speaks volumes on Riots policy regarding crowd control

They don't care that it's been power creeped to levels beyond out of control. Crowd control is honestly the most anti-fun element of gameplay League has to offer. I'm not suggesting it be removed because you can't remove crowd control, it's completely necessary and makes the game interesting. But being chain crowd controlled is obnoxious and often times, even with mercs, you'll feel like there was little you could've done to avoid it.

While damage does have a similar outcome, at the very least damage can be interrupted and the champions who dish out damage are extremely vulnerable to dying and typically isolated to 2, 3 champions at most (when support itemization isn't protecting them from dying while standing in the sun). Crowd control is legitimately found in every kit, class and it's existence varies in slows to harder CC spells to ones that outright ignore tenacity all together. And as Rubick has pointed out, there's little variance in the skill of landing crowd control because regardless of the range it's applied it, its severity is still the same, making its existence incredibly punishing to melee champions. When dodging damage spells, you typically interrupt massive chain combos and will notice huge reduction in damage (like dodging Zed Qs during his ult mark).

Honestly there's no going back. You can buff the ever loving shit out of tenacity and the only thing it'd accomplish is breaking it on ranged champions while melee bin tanks would still be dumpstered. I truly believe all fighters need another rework with the goal in mind to have their kits self mitigate the affects of crowd control significantly or outright ignore it. They currently cannot survive affects and unless you're Renekton, Jarvan or Rumble (who is basically ranged, let's be honest), there's no place for you in this game. I don't foresee a scenario where fighters not named Fiora can have a competitive chance at dealing with the abundance of CC in this game and it seems the only way any other fighter can is to be overpowered as shit like Ren (who falls off), Jarvan (can be unreliable) or Rumble (relies on ults regardless of how strong/weak he is).

I don't really see a problem with Ornn's CC in particular, every aspect of his kit that causes CC is heavily telegraphed.

I do agree that there has been a CC and mobility powercreeping issue, but I don't think Ornn is a prime example.

I'm speaking to his effect that reduces tenacity.

Look, he only has one way to apply it outside of his ultimate and that is a very low range very slow skillshot based spell. Sure, the effect itself is strong but the rest is very lackluster.

I'm not complaining about Ornn as a champion, I think his design is fine and unique. But his ability to reduce the power of tenacity is a fucking stupid concept and should've never been implemented. I don't care what circumstances it functions under, it shouldn't have a place in this game. And it's only a matter of time before it's added into other kits.

I disagree, it adds him a niche that might be considered needed in the game in a future meta. Maybe some day crowd control is in short supply and Ornn will be there to help.

Also it doesn't EXACTLY reduce Tenacity from what I see. It increases the modified duration of immobilizing effects by 30%, so a 70% duration stun is now a 91% duration stun against a Mercury Treads user who has Brittle.

There isn't going to be a day where CC is in short supply my dude

We need a reduction on the abundance of CDR (Something I believe Meddler's looking to do after Worlds) and an increase on itemization of worthwhile amounts of Tenacity.

One or both of these would help a lot with dealing with the amount of CC in the game; even more so necessary with the Brittle effect being implemented.
