I just played a game as braum and everytime Olaf went manmode for our carry (jinx) I couldn't do squat to help her.
Note an Olaf is OP thread btw, just dunno what to do. I know something as stupid as Kalista can kite him no problem and Vayne can just kill him with true damage before he can get to her

Axests3 votesYou don't, you do your best to peel others off and shield/heal your carry until olafs ult wears off, then you cc him. Usually if you can keep your carry alive until that point kiting him is pretty easy afterwards.
The Yetii Rider3 votesTo echo what the others said, if you are facing an Olaf, doesn't matter what support you are, you buy Ancient Coin. Talisman as soon as you hear his ult. Ward properly so he can't flank or catch you out. And if he gets on top of your carry after all that then you got outplayed. That's all there is to it.
Br4ndon3 votesHe loses a lot of armor and MR when he ults. Try not to kite into his axe if he over shoots the. Run until his ult runs out, try not to react instantly and hard CC him. If you do that your CC will go to waste, just force his ult with some soft CC such as a slow. Then just kite until his ults out and use the hard CC saved in the first place.
I know thats a lot easier said than done though. He can blow up an ADC before any of those tactics can be utilized. Just try to keep a cool head and not blow CC on him while he's ulting.

MisterHealYoGirl1 votesIf you can't affect Olaf's end of the combat (I'm assuming that a lot of damage is already aimed at him, and he can't be CCed), work on your ADC's. Heals, shields, speedups, bonus AD/AS, whatever you got. Just dump it all on them and hope for the best.

Renthaeus1 votesGrab a talisman of ascension if there's an Olaf on the enemy team. Cause his ult is like Vaynes passive. His speed increases when heading towards enemies. Run, wait for his ult to run out, turn around, you stun him with your passive and Jinx snares him and Bam! You kill em.

Colgate Gator1 votesYour best bet is to either have a disengage plan or bait his ultimate, but ultimately it boils down to position, if your carry got too close to Olaf in the first place, they are already dead.
lofi n chillhop1 voteswell like if your adc is imobile and you only have CC ways to protect them, then Olaf made a good pick. what you can do is try to fight olaf before he groups, like maybe force his ult defensively. or try to make sure that the adc is safe from everyone else, or make it so that olaf can only focus the adc by running through everyone, which means 3-5 seconds of his ult is used just getting to the adc. as ADC usually if an olaf is comming at me, I just hightail it away from him, even if it means doing nothing but run 'til his ult runs out. I take a lot of damage, but in lategame fights it isn't uncommon that I can use heal one time and flash the next time and it's enough to survive long enough that even if he does kill me it wasted more of the enemy team's resources trying to engage. and, I ping lots if I can, people generally don't always see every player in a team fight so if someone needs help I ping by them, or if an enemy is vulnerable I ping them, and it makes a difference.

Someone that offers the ADC mobility and/or bulk, like Lulu for example. Alternatively, someone like Soraka who can make sure you don't die while you're trying to kite back.

KingWanahakalugi1 votesI've been maining Olaf in my top lane for about a month now, and I have to tell you: When he drops his ult, ghost, and has dead man's plate at max charge, you aren't going to escape even if you do have kalista or vayne. He can axe you to death no matter what. Your best chance is to ward well and avoid him at all costs. If you're running a protect the carry comp your entire team is going to have drop everything and kill me before I kill your carry. Usually leaving my team to pick you off as you're trying to kill me. If you want to beat Olaf, your best strategy is to run a multiple carry comp. Usually, 3 is the magic number that Olaf just becomes outnumbered and gets shreaded. Olaf is built around being able to destroy single carry comps or teams that one person got incredibly far ahead while other lanes lost. He is not OP he is just doing exactly what he was built to do.

If you play like karma with talisman of ascension you can make your adc faster than olaf so he wont' catch him. If you are stuck playing a cc heavy support there's not much you can do unless you can force him to burn his ult prior to the teamfight. Your mid will just have to burst olaf when he comes in :(

as Support or as the Target XD.Any of those items or champions will do it pretty well without much skill involved. You can also pick champions like Lulu, Karma, Thresh, Bard(Magical Journey XD)etc. that are good at helping the carry reposition or a wall champion like Anivia. If you don't have any of those champions, then building a speed item like Talisman, or one of the two items listed above(if you are talking about your midlaner or something) is one of your two options. The second is to blow Olaf to little bitty bits cause he ain't that tanky.
