"[Jarvan] creates a circle of impassable terrain"

But literally any form of dash can go through it, even if it can't go through normal walls. Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Khazix can't fucking FLY over Azir wall, but Vayne can ROLL through JarvanIV's "impassable" terrain. Also, unlike in the description, J4 can be CC'd during the leap. Knockups and formerly Ahri's charm can cancel it, put it on full cooldown, no wall or damage, and this is with J4 LIVING.

If you're going to literally put it in writing, at least mean it. Cataclysm's in game description should read "Jarvan leaps onto the target opponent, dealing a metric fuckton of damage equivalent to that of both bombs dropped on Japan during WW2. The terrain created by sheer slamming power is then seemingly impassable, however upon closer inspection one can see that it is, in fact, just Styrofoam, and easily passed." That is much more accurate.

Seriously, impassable should mean impassable. That's all I ask for. "Impassable" seems like it'd be stronger than normal walls, right? Nope, in fact, the "impassable" wall is weaker, and abilities, such as Kalista's passive, which cannot go through normal walls, can go through it. Makes perfect sense, amirite?

Kalista's passive can go through normal walls...

Any wall can be passed by any movement ability because there is no Z axis in league of legends. So the game just checks if the dash is large enough to move from where you are to where you're aiming, and if where you're aiming is a spot you're allowed to occupy. There's no concept of going over something (unfortunately).

I don't need a change to J4's R, it's strong enough the way it is (I'll only pick J4 in to teams with 2+ non-supports that have no way out other than flash). I'd rather J4 be very strong in niche scenarios than have the impassable ultimate while being numerically weak since his targeted ult would be oppressive against all the mobility in league.

I would say buff it slightly, so only jumps get past. but then I remember those 3 weeks where J4 dominated the game and I cry.

It's because its coded as minions.

Maybe one day Riot will fix it, right after we get a replay system LOL

Yeah, no wonder Jarvans just used this as an execute. This ability's active is generally unhelpful against mobile enemies and god forbid if your teammates get trapped in the crater with you when the enemy team has AOE. At least J4 can cancel his ult after making his arena.
