really riot...

i think i SERIOUSLY need to talk a look at your idea of giving players "free" loot. EVERYTHING gives key fragments, key fragments , keyfragments, keyfragments [slayer-jinx-unamused] has it EVER occurred to you that not EVERY player, just WANTS to play ever single champion you release. your reward system is completely biased toward players who pick up every champion and have freinds who play champ they are good at

maybe some players even spend the time to get the "S" themselves on said champions

i an not a "jack of all trades master of none"

i play a small amount of champion... i like those champions, and I'm NOT going to play every other champion.. because you choose to make chests unobtainable in every other way

it has been nearly two years. i am NOT getting "rewarded" for keeping it sportsman like. i am getting a "plaque" instead of a "raise"

please for the love of god just let us SWAP competed keys and chests...

and don't even try to give me crap like "oh but there is the store"

first off if i hae to PAY for it.. its not a "reward" its a purchase

2nd its not like they even SELL chests in mass WITHOUT the key.

And you earn key fragments for just staying at the neutral level, at the exact same rate as the other higher honors. The only time you stop earning keys is when you get punished for being a dick

according to the store both a complete key (aka three fragments) and a chest is worth 125 rp.

so WHY cant we TRADE one for one

i mean my god there are player who have posted THIS THIS THREAD who have the EXACT OPPOSITE ISSUE with "too many chests" and "not enough fragments"

there is NO reason for this to exist. even if riot WANTED to try to trick their players into buying the other buy giving easy access to one of them free you would at LEAST see that in the shop selling large quantities of one and the other separately

it woudl literally take me 5500 rp to BUY the chests just to USE the keys i ALREADY have..

there is ZERO downside to allow players to swap chests and keys,

sure for the ONE day it goes live you will have people swapping half for the other and then opening them. but after that ONE DAY its balanced again.

not to mention it would be pretty much impossible for me to ever balance keys and chest with this many even if i DID go out of my way to painfully try to get an S (or have an ally get an S) on every single champion that i don't even want to touch

im not being "selfish" im not complaining able getting "free stuff"

becuase im NOT getting "free stuff" im getting NOTHING, just as other people who have the opposite problem get nearly nothing

and becuase "ohh you happen to be in the sweet spot where your not affect by this issue" so lets just fuck everyone else who is over I'm glad to know your that kind of person

its not ABOUT me asking for free stuff. i dont NEED blue essence i have 95k i OWN all the skins i want. (except victorious Morgana but i cant get that)

and yet you see me making this thread, and you all assume i want free stuff. becuase that's all you can conceive. everyone only cares about themselves.

not EVERYONE with this issue HAS 95k ip. infact even if riot made the change me and many other have suggested.. it wouldn't really benefit ME at all.

but you know who it WOULD benefit other people who play like me.. and some of my friends, and people who play the exact opposite of me, people play a bunch of champs and get tons of chests but have no keys.

you just think everything is about someone asking for "X" because "they want it" and cant even freaking fathom that they might be doing so because its the right thing to do. because they are doing for less advantaged others.

everything has to be about yourself does it? you cant possible imaging ever doing something for someone else...

yeah i think the other guy was right... the people posting in threads like these ARE the reason riot doesn't look at their own forum much.

because none of you even CONSIDERED FOR ONE MOMENT that i may be doing this for people other than myself. never even crossed your mind... not a single freaking one of you..

Its like you cry about getting one extra day off of work for being on time for 5 consecutive years.

It should be expected that you come on time for work as it should be expected to be honorable in game.

Riot is just being nice by giving us free keys for playing honorable, when they never had to.

Can we also talk about the lengthy, masturbatory animation you have to sit through every time you want to do ANYTHING with loot? I understand it's supposed to addict my monkey-brain so I buy more loot boxes and keys, but it just takes so long to actually make use of loot.

All I want(ed) for Christmas is a "craft/open 5, 10, 20) button, and maybe a "disable animations" button.

I barely play anymore and is somehow sitting on ~30 keys.

I'll trade 10 keys for a chest. Or a way to spend our keys without existing chests because the numbers will only go up.

Free chests are rewards for using Riot's stuff. The more you've put into the game, the more free stuff you can obtain. You don't have to not main a champion, or by a "master of none" as you put it, you just have to play some other champs every once in a while if you really want to get chests.

It's like if you only ever ordered one thing at a restaurant, and one day they decided to have a discount on some other item, and you complained that you didn't get a discount on the thing you always ordered.

Additionally, if you only play a small champion pool, then why do you want more loot stuff anyway? More than likely it's for a champion you don't even play.

and this is by far the biggest piece of bullshit you wrote. WE DON'T EVEN GET IP ANYMORE!!! all of those champion i am not going to play are still worth blue essence, which i can use for important things like: runepages, and guess what champion MASTERY which is kinda something that is important to player who want to MASTER their champions.

and then there is the whole you can get skins and orange essence from chests too.. so yeah...

You are complaining that the amount of free stuff, which, I remind you, you have absolutely zero right to get in the first place, is not good enough for you.

And it's not hidden behind some secret room that everyone else but you has access to, the door is right there in front of you, you just don't want to go through it because you are stubborn and feel entitled.

The point of the loot system is to get people to play with Riot's other content, so that they can get more. It's an advertisement essentially. They want to entice people into trying out a new champion so they can get a new chest, and if they like that champion, then they can buy a skin for it.

And guess what? You still level up just the same as everyone else. You aren't losing out on getting BE, because nearly all of that comes from level capsules, which you still earn just fine. What you are saying is the equivalent of someone saying a person with the same job as them and the same salary makes more simply because they found a quarter on the sidewalk that morning.

but i am not one to just sit down and shut up about something that isn't right. there is legitimately NO REASON why we could not be able to trade keys for chests.

they are of equal value and are worthless without the other.

yes i understand that some people happen to fall into the sweet spot where they can get even chests and keys, not all of us do.

and there is zero reason to make it so we cant all get equal things.

and whats worse is bring up the whole "honor" thing... like really? i have KEYS and not chests.. HONOR really isn't the issue.. i could literally never earn a key ever again and STILL never be able to use all of the ones i have..

and then the "why do u want this anyways?" what do u mean why do i want equal treatment for all individuals? why do YOU not? is there something WRONG with asking for everyone to be treated equally and fairly regardless?

im complaining about how after all this time we STILL cant swap keys and chests. becuase some people are getting free stuff, and others ARN'T getting free stuff through random chance that thier playstyle ins't ideal for the system..

i mean sure if there wasn't some blatantly obvious solution.. i could accept riot trying to spend the time to find a proper one. but there IS a solution.. its staring EVERYONE in the face... EVERYONE wins.. everyone is happy. and yet when i suggest it suddenly I'm being selfish?

this isn't just affecting ME.. i in fact have 95k blue essence right now. i dont NEED anymore... i already hae more runpages than i want.. im already lvl 7 on all the champs i play.. i GAVE those example BECUASE they are the examples that AFFECT people in this situation even if they don't affect ME. I'm an not doing this for "myself" I'm doing this because its the RIGHT thing to do.. and i am MORE than willing to stand up for people who are in the same situation who don't have nearly 100k blue essence to spare like i do.
