I just like off-meta picks that have miserable times against meta champions

I simply just like champions out of the meta..... Darius, Fiora, Xin Zhao, Malzahar , Lux, Brand.... and there is nothing a single shit I can do. No, doesn't matter if Brand can do 200 more damage than lb with his full combo, if LB can do it safer and faster. Doesn't matter if lux ult CD is 30 sec of CD if Ahri can use her ult to dodge if , or zhonyas, and them shit on me Doesn't matter if Darius can beat all melee top ( Lie ) if he is useless in teamfights and etc Doesn't matter if ... I don't even know what fiora does better than Riven. Doesn't matter if Malzahar melt tanks if.... you can easily fuck him up, since he needs to stay 2.5sec stunned to do actual damage. Doesn't matter if Xin Zhao does insane damage ( he doesn't , except fed, and well , everyone deals damage when fed ) if he is easy to disengage off, has poor time catching someone after his E is down, or stick to people to 3 Q.

Why are you comparing Brand to Leblanc? One is a burst assassin and the other is an AOE Teamfight Mage. Or Ahri, a Kiting short range Mage, to Lux, a Utility mid-long range mage?

She is a burst assassin. Her W + R deals more than 1k of damage to everyone instantly Brand ults has the change of not even boucing 5 times.

Ahri Q has short range? her E has short range? If lux utility was so good, why no one play her, play ahri instead?

Ahri Q has short range?

mid range

her E has short range?

not a damage spell

upd: sorry misread as w which is short ranged, as well as the bolts on her ult

Regarding Brand and Leblanc, yes, LeBlanc hurts, that's what assassin's do. Regarding Brand's ult not bouncing, I agree it needs some QoL buffs to allow it to bounce more reliably but that doesn't make him uselessly broken.

She can enter close distance and fire off her Q and E and exit short range, that doesn't make her a mid or long range mage. That's you not realizing that a skillshot champion is lining up skillshots and you should probably move. The ranges on each champs respective moves are as followed Ahri: 880, 550, 975, 600 (475 distance closed) Lux: 1175, 1075, 1100 (+300 radius), 3340. Ahri's longest range spell isn't as long as ANY of Lux's spells. So uh, yeah. Lux is Mid-Long range, Ahri is Mobile yet Short Ranged, maybe baaaarely Mid Range on Q and E but the way her W and R work means she performs much better at short range.

As for why people don't play Lux and instead play Ahri, I dunno, maybe because people value damage and mobility in the mid lane more, and that Orianna, a much better example for your OP, outclasses Lux in the utility department anyways?

lux e costs way too much mana lux is more squishy and has no escape except root, shield and slow, no hard cc too then, she is 100% skill shot based while 2 of ahri spells are auto locked ones, so ahri is way easier to play

... Okay? "no escape except root, shield, and slow" Double shield, and double root, aoe slow, all of which are at a rather long range just for the record. Buy wards and you shouldn't need to be too concerned with ganks. Peeling for yourself in team fights should be braindead considering your AOE slows and snares and, again, 1000+ range.

Literally every Lux should be building mana regen anyways. Plus Athene's is or is getting buffed in that department. (Did that go through yet? Honestly don't know, I don't play any champs that mana regen is crucial on)

Aaand lastly. Yeah. Probably best that a champ with exclusively 1000+ range spells that she doesn't have any auto-lock spells. But if you're missing your 300 radius aoe spell consistently enough that the champion is unplayable, then uh, you need some work on Lux.

PS: Ease of play shouldn't be a balancing factor. It should be a hurdle at most.

i don't say that lux is bad, i play her each time when im mid and cannot get kat or ahri, her or sometimes morg but she is harder and less safe. well kat is even less safe, especially when your team loses and you fight like a japanese kamikaze

darius, malz, xin are out of meta? lol

Yes they are Root ahri and ult and she will zhonyas

implying ahri has zhonya during the laning when you mostly fight her 1v1

then, it's zhonya, an item, which is a good escape from lux's combo, not ahri's ult a heimer can do the same or, i dunno, anybody

i get that too

when vi was released and people branded her crap, meta didnt fawour her as a snowball reliant jungler, playing her was unique, special

now when she is among the kings of the jungle i just cant get myself to play her, despite the fact i enjoy her so much

off meta champions are trully what riot tries to promote with their lcs hype, always diferent feeling, always intense due to its uniqueness, if picks become repetative then that feeling vanishes, it becomes just ... normal, standard, gets stripped completly of any personality

in season 3 i played 250 ranked games with vi, and similar amount of normals, never got even close to boredom, now everytime i pick her i feel like the game isnt the same anymore, and the thing is that the game still isnt repetative, it still has all its traits but just lost that taste

I was main sion , before he was a thing in the meta. People even called me troll for playing him top. And them , out of sudden, he was a contested pick, and.... I couldn't play him anymore. I didn't want to. It lost that flavor of " I am the only one who plays him well " to " I am just another sion ". And, sometimes, the champ doesn't even work at all. Fiora is pretty bad against all FoTM top laners, and will be for a long time, since her kit is all about all-in, and her damage has nothing of special.

I just don't know what to do. I am losing a lot of matches because of this.

Why should it make a difference who is playing a champion? I picked up Sion shortly after his rework, and I'm still playing him now. I'm trying to climb elo so that I get to a League that has players that can work with a Sion jungle better than Bronze, because half of these people have never heard of Sion, let alone know what his abilities are. I know it's nice to feel special because you do something that no one else does, but that shouldn't be your reason for playing a champion. If you're good with that champion and you have fun playing them, why would you stop? If you're a good Sion, then keep doing what you're good at; from the look of it, you're handicapping yourself just because more people are playing your champion. If playing Sion top got you wins, why did you stop, and then complain like there's nothing you can do about it?

Because from a good sion, I am just ANOTHER sion. I am not trying to make me feel special. I just want to be good with something that people are not used to play ,and be succeed. It is boring when you see your champ being played every game because he is too strong for the meta, and not because they like them. And I start to dislike them too.

the diference is in the feeling the game is supposed to feel unique, every single game should be diferent if every game has a specific champion then playing him stops giving you that feel of unique game, since you will find guy playing the same stuff at ever corner

both me and the guy who answered my post (Dropfill) still enjoy our champions, the problem is that playing them does not give us that core feeling of the game being as unique as it should

thats lol at its core, loads of champions, each diferent each fitted to fit diferent players the fact that some champions are picked much more often than others kills that core aspect of the game, and it seems that dropfill and me are quite sensitive to that

When you jungle, you are not in a 1v1 with someone. Also, if you get invaded and lose your buffs, good luck coming back to the game

I'm just screwing around, but I have done it before.

You ward with your team's trinkets early, get your leash at blue, and you stay relevant throughout the game because of your utility (the reason why she's primarily a support). Fun for premades, because you can trust your carries, so you just get them fed like a roaming support who gets farm.

And yes, I'm aware of the weaknesses. I'm a jungle main, but I get bored of meta champions from time to time. Even won with Soraka jungle once, with a score of 3/2/14. Basically handed people kills because I'd just root invaders and ping my laners for a free kill.

Try to have fun sometime, do something crazy. Don't let the meta control you.

You know, sometimes there's a reason that people don't do things. People stop playing Darius? It's usually because something happened to Darius that makes him less-game breaking. I get that all champions should be amazing and valid and carry you to victory like a shining steed because you're the one special snowflake, but why do you think so many people pick these "meta" champions? Usually, when the game gets balanced, some champions are marginally better than others. A lot of things on this list is either mechanics countering each other (you know, COUNTER-PLAY), or bad choices.

Of course you're going to lose to LB as Brand. Brand's signature ability is an AoE blast. You know, a skill shot. That you can dodge. LB's kit is centered around deception, and popping up all over the place. Ahri is designed to be agile, so it's hard to hit her with skill shots. That's why you force her to do these things before you try to kill, or use your skill shot to burn her dash/zhonia's/flash. Your argument with Malzahar? It's called balancing. I know some people think Riot is horrible at it, but they make these decisions for a reason. The only person in the game that can suppress someone and still move while doing it is Skarner, who can be a problem but is much less scary in a 1v1 than Malzahar or Warwick.

Some of this looks like user error more so than champions being weak. Fiora vs Riven is bad, because Riven has hard cc, a shield, a dash, a real big combo. She is beatable as Fiora, but you want to know what Fiora doesn't have that gives Riven an edge over her? Hard cc, a shield, an escape... Fiora is really hard to play successfully because you have to know what she does inside and out, and you have to know how to play every matchup backward, forward, upside-down and sideways. Why else do you think she's infamous for being caught out in higher level play? Darius can be a monster. Even if you build tanky, during the laning phase and during teamfights he can have some impact. There's a reason they gave him the "Dunk Master Darius" skin. His ult can dunk people pretty hard. Xin Zhao... I don't know what your problem with him is, whether it's bad mechanics on your part or bad decision making, you should be fine if you're a good Xin Zhao. He's got to be one of the most popular champions on this list. :/
