If I had to bring back 1 mastery it would be Inspiration.
That mastery helped Supports stay somewhat close in level to the rest of their team. It would be a great improvement for supports if it could be added back in.

Supports are stronger now than they've ever been
Quite a random fact, don't quite understand it has to do with thread but kuddos to you for noticing.
No, supports are not. You seem to be mistaking support champions and non support champions played as pseudo-supports (a good example being Miss Fortune). There is a significant difference I assure you. The actual support role can be sometimes 4 levels under the rest of the team. The only reason the pseudo-supports seem strong is because they are carries in the support role. They easily take kills and can carry a game just as well as any ADC can. Because of that very fact though makes them not a support. They offer little besides damage and maybe 1 form of CC. They cant peal or defend the ADC and if behind they are beyond useless besides that 1 form of CC for the most part. The difference is that they don't need a lot of levels to do things. And more is not much different than less. they scale much better with items than base stats. Actual supports are the opposite.
Lmao.
The higher WR supports in order:

So no, actual supports are just fine
Well for starters, Sion has a whopping 0.81% - 1.11% pick rate depending on which site you use (op.gg or champion.gg) so he can't even be counted since their is not enough data to give value to his high win rate. If he had a high win rate and also a high pick rate, then it would be a different story. And in addition, I am not sure he is actually a support based champion, he is played by far more often in the top lane than as the support. Well, more often for Sion at least.
My other point is that supports usually are 2+ levels under every other role. This mastery helped that not happen quite as often.
