I feel like ARAM has gotten worse with its champion selection

I get that it is not "all random" despite its name. But for a while now I have noticeably had more games where one team or both have 2+ marksmen (ADCs). And then there are seemingly more games which have a "no ranged" (or almost no ranged) champion team vs a well balanced team. IDK if something was changed recently but it was never this bad. It is not every game, but like 3 of 5 games will be like that.

The free champ pool takes priority over all other champions is why.

ARAM is better than ever now. Now you actually have a high chance to get a good champion or to pick one from the available champ pool they introduced recently.

I would not say it is better. If anything, it is more one sided than it use to be. iirc, all they did was change the available pool to be your personal pool + last 3 weeks of fotw champions from just your pool + fotw champions. In other words a potential +20 more champions split between 10 players. Then they added the re-roll "repick" feature. This may be the best idea they have had in a while, but it is also the cause of the excessive one sided games. This is because it permanently removes "bad picks" up to 20 of them (both teams use both rerolls on all players).

Now, if anyone has played ARAM, they likely know of ARAM accounts. These special accounts make this much worse. These accounts are stacked with only good champions for ARAM. This means that the likelihood of rolling a good champion is higher than normal. These champions are also usually popular on normal non-ARAM accounts though. Basically, ARAM accounts can roll and play a good champion while also remove up to 2 likely strong opponents way more often than any normal account could because of how champions are selected and removed from the pool.
