Also try picking katarina in high elo, have fun when all 5 members counter you.

She had the highest winrate of any mid-laner in Plat+ too. Just accept your favorite mid was OP in solo-que and may even still be after 5.6.

Plat is an extremely small % of LoL players. Denigrating the skill of Plat+ players just to attempt to make your point stronger is rather stupid. Data from Plat+ is generally relevant enough to consider. I've tried to get to Plat for a while now and the highest I got was G2. It was enough to be able to play with some Plats and the difference isn't negligible.

Your argument was that her obscene winrate despite a high pick-rate is "she is meant to stomp low elo." and I presented you with the fact that her success continues at the same level even in Plat+. Although, perhaps Plat+ players are a bit more selective on the team comps. they choose to play her in.

she's on 68% pick/ban with still 53.6% winrate on dia+, and besides that, ~2/3 off all players are below gold. If a champ is a problem for them, it needs to be adressed aswell, you can't screw over the majority of players just cause a problematic champion isn't played by the ~200 proplayers out there.

At the same time, since the e-sport is a essential part for league, you can't ignore a pick/ban champ in professional play just cause his winrate in soloQ, especially in lower elos, is pretty low.

Take it all in context.

He says she's not pick/ban. Someone points out that she actually has a very high pick/ban rate. His response to that is "because she's a carry" and something about low elo.

Never mind that she's high in Plat.

She has a 55% win rate in diamond as well (which is funny because in theory that is where the whole "just cc her because she literally stands still" strategy should work the most) .

Riot just needs to nerf Katarina so hard next patch that she's in here for a few months. They can then slowly give her the buffs she needs to get into a healthy and ballanced state. It's a time proven balance strategy at Riot, I'm sure it would work great for Kat!

Not sure why anyone would be defending Katarina at this point unless they main her or are worried they'll drop several divisions in Ranked if she actually gets ballanced. She's not getting a rework, she's getting slight number adjustments.
