Why is Kayle SOOOO complicated for Low elo players???

50CaliberHecate··2 votes·3,297 views

Every Kayle I've played with ends up going 0/10 every time and it's beyond me why? I've played her, she's legit straight forward.... Auto?! What can I inform these players to do seeing as they clearly have no idea how to build or play her?!

It's because 95% of low elo SoloQ have zero clue how to actually play the game. With shit like Riven, Yasuo, Renekton, Darius and Garen you basically "spay and pray". You just throw out abilities mindlessly every chance you get with no thought towards where the jungler is or with any awareness of who is missing on the map and at least half your games you get fed. This is how low elo plays. With Kayle, you actually have to know how the fuck to play the game. YOU ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT FIND SUCCESS WITH KAYLE EVER IF YOU DON'T HAVE PATIENCE AND KNOW BASIC WAVE MANAGEMENT AND MACRO. Kayle is not the kind of champion where you mindlessly group to fight like idiots in the jungle for no reason and win half the time because her broken damage gets you a triple kill at 16 minutes in the game while being 0-3. And you certainly don't all look for all ins with her from level 1 like you could with Riven, Darius etc. This is why Kayles feed so much because that noob shit that they are allowed to get away with while playing Riven and Yasuo won't work on her.

With Kayle, you have to know how to be extremely patient. You MUST be willing to give up a tonne of CS and you have to be competent at last hitting under tower. Do you know how many times a day I hear my opponents roasting me because their lane is boring on account of how extremely passive and calculating I play the lane. They are so used to mindlessly fighting constantly that it confuses them when somebody actually doesn't play like that.

I'm no great player but I've found some success on Kayle. I've always wanted to get to Gold and I've gotten there twice already this season using her as a main:- https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=vbniya

Because she is a squishy melee champion with no mobility or damage for the first 6 levels of lane phase in which she still gets her teeth kicked in. She really isn't a champion until 2 items and level 11, and with less coordinated and uneven jungle pressure, it can be hard to be useful. She's kind of like a less safe Kassadin in terms of how she functions.

I personally don't think here laning is bad enough for what she turns into. She can still be so safe. If the Kayle isn't braindead you need a jungler to really punish her early.

And yet you went 0/7/3 on Caitlyn.

Performance has little to do with how one is capable of playing a given champion. There are very few champions in the game that require any amount of actual skill when it comes to pressing buttons and moving the cursor. For the few that do, they just require a few games to get used to doing so and then they're the same as all the others. The real difficulty in playing champions comes from knowing what each champion is capable of in each situation and adapting to what teammates and opponents are doing.

Well if you watched the play back of the game, you’d probably see why I did. I had a Nami who never Ulted when we were engaged by blitz or enemy jungle, as well as the other lanes hard core fed. I couldn’t even focus farming any lane without 3 enemies completely cornering me. That game had no chance of getting ahead because of the early game.

Simple

Kayle is weak early - strong late.

Low Elo is all about early... Then flaming, anger, inting, trolling, blaming and everything thats bad will explode! Not only from Kayle herself but from her teammates as well.

Everything is complicated for low elo players because they're bad at the game. It's why they're low elo.

Just Plat 4 so I can't really talk about "Low elo players", but especially Iron - Higher Gold doesn't quite understand that there is different phases in League.

Sure they'll go "Oh we win late game, we got tankyness or lots of damage". But they don't REALLY get it.

Kayle powerspikes, as Krynn put it, on level 11 with 2 Items. That's when she can gain momentum quickly. It's sort of like giving your enemy a head start and if they don't get a good lead in that timespan, you catch up to them devastatingly quick.

Especially low elo has a short temper as well. They die as kayle? "Well, gotta equal it out, kill the enemy to get even." They do that 2 or 3 times and then it's over. The enemy will towerdive that Kayle with ease (if she doesn't have R).

After the spike however, Kayle becomes a powerhouse.

The short temper also resonates on botside btw. Some people can't accept losing the lane early. They start tilting and run it down. Sometimes it's better to accept that you died and play cautiously and focus on your gold income through farms (and perhaps camps) instead, to avoid getting kicked out of the game by your enemy.

I'm bronze II bot main, and I legit don't worry about what my opponent is doing the entire laning phase. I just focus farming. If the make a mistake, okay sure, I'll capitalize, but I'm not actually looking for a bunch of kills early lane and I don't care if my tower falls. Just wait for jg/mid ganks and push the tower then.

Plat 4 isn't high elo if that's what you mean by "Just Plat 4 so I can't really talk about "Low elo players","

I think he meant "I can't talk about low ELO because I am that"

I mean i once went 0/10 with her in lane but made up for it by ending up going 10/10 because of how rubbish her early game is compared to how godly her late game is.

AquariusGine1 votes

I'm low elo and I struggle on her. I am completely useless until level 11 and even then I don't scale that hard. The part I hate most about Kayle is how I can't attack when I use her ult. I honestly wouldn't mind taking the damage off her ult and putting it into her carry potential. A lategame Xayah can kill you with 3 AA while you have to whack her like 6 times, which makes her horrible early game feel like a crappy tradeoff.

If there's a Rengar on the enemy team, your lategame doesn't matter, because he'll just 1shot you before you can react.

I need tips on CSing on Kayle level 1-11 because I ALWAYS end up with half my enemy CS.

AquariusGine1 votes

I found out, that the Kayle build that helps me transition the best is item 3004 . Early item 1037 buy helps immensely with CSing. I think the reason low elo Kayles are struggling is because item 3148 or item 3115 might give you a very very rough early game.

25 AD for 875gold means you can safely farm your way to level 11.

item 3146.... I don’t know why they start off with this item. It seems like her recommend is more for trades than actual objectives. To me she reminds me of a Second Trynd... get attack speed and then hard core push

Linna Excel1 votes

It has dual scaling and more impotently it gives sustain on her.

item 3146 > item 3115 > item 3124 gives her a 60% win rate in high elo, so building those three items on her technically isn't wrong.

It isn't, but it will render her early game extremely weak, because both Gunblade and Nashor cost a lot. People have more success pulling the Kai'sa build on her.

Okay my question is, why are YOU playing with low-elo players? [sg-lux-2]

Sukishoo2 votes

cause they are themselves [slayer-jinx-wink]

Part of low elo is you are either too patient or are too aggressive. I'm thinking her low elo mains don't understand you have to farm under tower with her for the first part of the game.
