Why does no one play Urgot?

He's like... ridiculously broken. xD I just went 14/3 in a gold ranked game.

shhh stop telling people about how bad ass he is....

but seriously the reason you can do so well with him is no one seems to understand his abilities or passive.

Because he is Urgly

True, but so are Warwick, Galio and so on -- yet I see them a lot.

Galio and Urgot are the least picked champions in the game... Even Warwick's pick rate is low - below 3 %. Lee and Caitlyn have around 30 % pick rate...

Well, I have literally never seen an Urgot played outside of something like One For All where people wanna troll, and I've been playing since last June. xD

he's not that fun

he just sorta Es and then spams Q, maybe he'll ult to grab an enemy carry, but beyond that he's got nothin' that's really interesting

Well, I've been playing him as an ADC. Compared to most ADCs, he's actually kind of fun, since he does more than just spam right clicks. :P

But for any other lane / position, yeah, there are a lot more fun champs.

hes old. he isn't the most boring champion but hes neither the most fun. hes okay i enjoy playing urgot every once in a while his problem is that he doesn't really fit in any team comp hes just. there. urgotting. doing urgot stuf.

Because they do not know his power. I went for a damage build with him and was able to 1v1 the enemy Hec at late game. The kicker is: Hec got the jump on me when I was sitting at 30% hp and he was at full health. He still got 1v1' ed.

Urgot is really strong, but he doesn't fit any comp really well unless you change the team towards him with something like:

Urgod Top Tanky CC Jungler who can peel well CC and/or Poke Mid Long ranged/high poke ADC Tanky support

All of that because he needs both peel and poke, as he has short range, no mobility and his ult drops him in the middle of the enemy team, so they better be trying to run instead of fight when he ults.

You can 1v1 a Draven and vayne with him

15% damage reduction with Armor Shred is OP.

Because he's old and doesn't appear exciting to play at first glance.

I was thinking about buying him and trying him out. I only seen him played a couple times the entire season but he left an impression. He seems really fuckin strong.

Because his q doesn't apply on-hit effects
