After some thinking I don't think Locket/Redemption/DD/PD are all that problematic TL;DR at end
In fact I think it's a step in the right direction and maybe with the upcoming rune changes. Riot has the potential to give us the best season (balance wise) it's ever been in.
Before you downvote me to hell for defending these items lets think about this.
Fighters/Juggernauts/Marskman etc. have all gotten things in the game that's causing them to be an issue. Yet instead of rearranging as a hole Riot tends to just over buff another role.

**Supports **are utility based. They are suppose to be running around with sheilds/heals/some short stuns and slows. Nothing too drastic but enough that they're making an impact. They do this REALLY well with Locket and Redemption. They actually feel like supports.

**Tanks ** are supposed to be walls. Walls don't break down easy. They require heavy duty. Riot has been doing good with this lately adding a new-ish stat which is **Damage Reduction ** before not many champs had this type of damage reduction. They had bonus armor/mr gain or hp boost not flat reduction (tabi giving 10%/WW gaining I believe 70%? etc. etc.) Where they did amazing with this stat though is
. This item shows they are moving in the right path. A tank who is gaining TANK stats but losing out on damage. They aren't suppose to 1 shot people. They aren't suppose to be getting 1 shot either though. A tank should take team co-ordination to deal with. Not having them jump on your carry and say w/e because you know they'll just lifesteal their way back up and melt the tank cause
+
eliminate them. I really hope this is what Riot is planning to do in the near future. They're definitely on the right path with tanks. -
Fighters/Juggernauts/Divers I'm listing these guys all together because they generally want the same path when it comes to builds. What Riot did right with them.
were both good items. They did 2 major things wrong though. First of which is allow marksman to use them. These items NEED to be melee only. Secondly, the AMOUNT of reduction they give. These items were perfect for these classes as generally they want to build damage but they also want to build a slight bit of survivability for more extended fights. I'll admit people like Riven/Wukong/Renekton/Draven etc. are abusing these items. What Riot needs to do to fix this is tone down the reduction they give and make it melee only. The items themselves aren't issues. The numbers with them are. Again, Riot's on the right path. They just need to tone it to be more balanced. -
Marksman Might get hate from all you adc mains out there, but, truth needs to be spoken. There's nothing wrong with this role right now. (Mainly taking into account what i've said about the near future) Idk about your experiences but whenever i'm in a game with an adc that builds pure crit + damage. They go batshit insane when a tank with ninja tabi + deadmans + thornmail is taking little damage from them. They have no armor pen, no %hp damage. Yet will flame like hell that they do no damage. Then you have those ADC's like Twitch or Vayne or Jhin. Who build lethality or actually do build bork and/or LDR. They have no issue melting a 3-4 armor item tank in 3-5 hits. It's ridiculous. Again, nothing wrong with marksman.

**Assassins ** Now I currently think assassins are the most balanced class right now. The one issue I have is their immense mobility being too much for immobile champs. To a point it's fine but in some cases there is literally no way to counterplay a hyper mobile assassin like Katarina. To some champs her mobility isn't that bad. To others there's NOTHING they can do to her. Not because she's better, not because they got outplayed but simply because there was ZERO counterplay. I say again, Riot has stepped up their game. GROUNDED while I do think is a bit Overpowered atm is a nice effect to stop this. I do believe it should stop things like Zed's shadow, Katarina's Shunpo, Shaco's Q. I DON'T think it should stop abilities such as Amumu's Q or Maokai's W. That's just crazy. Other than that assassins are fine. Supports and tanks are suppose to peel. If they don't do that then they are punished with their main dps dying. (Locket and redemption are here for a reason)

Mages Generally not TOO busted of a class other than a specific few. Recent item changes have given mages a chance to survive assassins jumping on them everytime they come to lane and nuking 80% of their health in an instant. The one part of the mage class I do have an issue with though are LANE BULLIES We all know them. We all hate them. Lane bullies are champions who excel at pressuring a lane themselves. They toss out huge AoE abilities all the time making it difficult to cs or even get close to them. This would be a nice little niche, IF lane bullies fell off AFTER laning. Instead they are still constantly a huge threat and often can hold off entire teams from towers themselves as well as siege incredibly easy. Most lane bullies typically have a form of defensive ability, or an obstacle, to keep them safe. (Heimer turrets and stun, Ziggs minefield, lux's light circle thing) My issue is that they are given TOO MUCH safety.
Lux has her double snare, double shield, aoe slow Ziggs has minefield and satchel Orianna has an AoE speed boost and a shield and a knockup Heimer is probably the more balanced one of them all. list goes on.
As a whole though we're REALLY close to being as far into balance as we've ever been. No game will ever truly be 100% balanced, but Riot is on their way at this rate. TL;DR Supports - Supports are fine. They're doing what they should be which is providing utility
Tanks - Tanks are slightly an issue. The amount of damage they soak up is ok. The amount of damage they dish out is not.
Fighters/Juggernauts/Divers etc. - An all around fine class. Their issue is the amount of damage reduction given to them when they should be the ones with high-ish armor/mr not damage reduction
marksman - They're fine. They just need to stop having access to PD/DD
Assassins - Probably the most balanced role. They just need more counterplay to their mobility for ALL not certain champs
Mages - Generally the only issue when it comes to mages are lane bullies. Mainly due to their extreme safety and sometimes mobility
