The new Attack Move binding to your left mouse click is great....

...but it won't let you click on ANYTHING ELSE without some weird interaction going on.

If you try and buy items from the shop, your character will move to wherever you clicked while you are in the shop.

If you click on the minimap to change your camera, your character will move to wherever you clicked on the minimap (this is especially troublesome for champs who have global ultimates).

You simply can't use the ping wheel anymore, because you need to hold down your left mouse button to do that. However, once you use left click for that, it puts in the attack move command, and cancels the ping.

It's also really, really, easy to click on the wrong target, but, I'm sure this can be fixed with some practice.

Otherwise, I can already tell that it would be an AWESOME tool to have, especially for ADCs (orb walking isn't easy). But, as it stands, this needs some work for it to be a viable option.

Shift-clicking works in those situations. Will take a few games to get used too. But given they are mostly non-stress situations (and pings could be bound somewhere more convenient) it seems doable.

Problem with me is that I play on a laptop, and pressing shift + anything is quite hard unless I move all of my hotkeys down one row, but I can't do that, since I use hotkeys on all 5 rows of keys. I would have to completely redesign my setup, and basically learn the game from scratch.

I also don't have the dexterity to move my hands down quickly enough to do so.

Riot literally said that if you chose to do that, you would have to shift click in order to do anything like shop

Really? I must have missed that.

The entire section from the 7.15 patch notes:

Attack Move

Some players were already hacking the ability to rebind a-move to left-click, so we figure we’d give you the option to do so manually. Note: you use Left-Click for a surprising amount of things, and you’ll need to use Shift+Left-Click to do those things.

CUSTOMIZATION: We’ve added a toggle that adds attack-move commands to left clicks. You can still left click on HUD elements (ex. the item shop), but will issue attack-move commands to the target location beneath the HUD.

OVERRIDE: While this toggle is active, use SHIFT+Left Click to interact normally with the HUD without attack-moving in the process.
