why was he given a free crit out of nowhere?

He had a free crit on his q for the entirety of his existence up until they moved it to his passive.

Shaco has always been kinda like the Ezreal of assassins. By that I mean he's rarely a problem by himself but he's prone to breaking/abusing items since he has a very reliable means of shuttling himself to his target. With the way the game is atm it should be little surprise he's doing well, it is an assassin meta and duskblade is busted, that and of course the little bastard feeds on uncoordinated teams and that is basically what solo-q is.

40+ minutes isn't late game. That's overtime.

Shaco always feels weak because he can't straight up fight someone. It's like a caster minion against a shotgun. Forced to outplay the opponent with the tools you have, and that scales with knowledge and experience. There's a reason he has one of the highest inclines in win rate per games played among almost any other champion.

He certainly has tools that can make him strong and has to be balanced around his playstyle more than most (and currently is able to use those tools to great effect in the meta), but feels weak in normal fighting situations. That's all. It's a false equivalence to argue he is weak because they are being played in a way that demands more abstract gameplay to speed up early game than other champions. So he feels weak and that's where I assume the argument comes from, but if he's being utilized for his personal attributes, he has a different scale to base on for power because that's so much more of his core. Now that he has late game, (and also once he gets fed) the interaction reduces drastically to stop him from also being able to just fight and circumvent that earlier dueling weakness.

He's always had a crit -- it was simply moved . A lot of power was shifted around in different variations, which is objectively weaker in single assassination attempts than it was before early, but scales better on a curve now instead of insane spike that led to a pure one shot. Dark Harvest is used to remedy that loss in increments.

He has had a crit in his kit since he was created, just now it comes from his passive instead of his q, depends also in which elo he is good because sure in low elo he is broken because nobody knows how to play against him down here

feintfiend8/21/2018, 3:41:45 AM5 votes

He's a scaling assasin that made it to lategame what do you expect lmao? High and low winrates at certain times are very common stop using the stat in a decieving way.

SKHynix8/21/2018, 11:03:50 AM5 votes

Nobody wants this shaco, old one was fun with different ap,ad crit builds, not this lategame oneshot machine with lack of counterplay because of item 3147 and no pinkwards.

shaco require more skills then most ppl could ever think of. Placement of traps/knowing where the enemy is going to go toward when u are ganking. locating and keeping track of enemy jungler. exploiting greed of enemy players/over extending. Knowing which lane has a priority or winning advantage and know where they may get a kill. Playing mind games on the enemy/jungler. Ppl dont respect a good Shaco player they are always overextending and underestimating shaco. Good shaco players will know how to use Q to hop over walls example:

This is why whenever i play against shaco deep wards are needed, playing passive, and never extending too far that a shaco can gank you. Also ppl seem to never invade a shaco at lvl 1. He is so weak at lvl 1 since he starts with boxes and usually have ignite and smite and even at level 2 he is still pretty weak.

Shaco is honestly pretty easy to counter if you all in him and follow his stealth with a sweeper .

You can literally zone him out of his jungle and deny him everything given that your laners will not die to the level 2 cheese gank

SKHynix8/21/2018, 10:08:55 AM3 votes

Revert shaco and remove this shit item 3147

Tundra Hunter8/21/2018, 2:19:43 AM3 votes

Shaco's been my perma ban for years now. And I play in platinum. He is not OP (despite this high winrate) imo, but his kit is outdated and frustrating. He's the champ that tilt me the most. He requires 0 skill, can snowball games with his invisible crits ignite CC ganks, has a free escape and a braindead clone... He needs to be reworked

A free crit if attacking from behind and for much less damage than a normal crit. The issue is neither Q damage nor his passive crits, it's mostly that they for some reason kept the 4sec duration on the invis when they changed it to not getting revealed by pinks. He has a free pass onto any target he wants, and he can splitpush all day and you have basically no way to punish him. And lategame, items alone add enough damage so low numbers in the kit don't matter to much, and his ult actually is bonkers once he has solid gear.
