His E gives him a WHOPPING 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30
and 10 FREE magic resist early game is a big deal that is 7 MR glyphs for free on a button, and i feel was the entire reason he survived the 
Q when ANX was invaded by ROX.
And when maxed is a free 
+5 and 2x 
for using a dash...
I would like to see graves not be able to push back large monsters like red and blue... it makes him stupidly too good at clearing jungle.
