Some sites list him above 100%

I guess it's based on how they measure it. Some sites probably measure how many games he is not available to play, and others measure by how many times he got banned divided by the number of games analyzed. If Zac is banned in 70% of games, and assuming red and blue team has the same probability of banning Zac (which seems like a fairly reasonable assumption), each team has about 55% chance of banning Zac. That would put Zac at 69.75% (1-(.55)^2) by the first measure, and 110% (.55*2) by the second measure.

I think they count double bans, rather than a singular ban in a champion select.

You know, for how long Zac has been around, I'm amazed that so many people don't know how to deal with his ganks.

or to counterjungle/invade him.

Jar Jar binks l3 votes

Yea inbefore he comes jumping from the moon and cc u to death

Dokkaebi4 votes

His cc is useless if you fight him 1v1.

flyingbaklava3 votes

^ Seriously, Zac has so little damage now (he lost over 60% of his ultimates potential damage in the rework). He is only useful if he has allies nearby to take advantage of his CC. It is that weakness that makes him so unsatisfying to play compared to pre rework. Even if his CC is OP, it is immensely unsatisfying.

1v1 game stronk.

Best way to counter zac is to grab 3 splitpushers and 2 roaming splitpushers, then he cant smash your team with CC.

...............................

Seriously tho, only way to counter zac in laning is to ward everything in 2 miles around.

LordGeovanni1 votes

Cc doesnt kill .... Except death the best CC.

Big Lincoln27 votes

just ward everything in a 2 mile radius and you'll be fine xd

doodlebob66614 votes

and he still kills you because he landed on the otherside of a minion wave q'ed one of those traitors and pulled you back it

Yh seems like a legit counter.

Yasuo isn't impressed

flyingbaklava2 votes

HA, Zac will soon overtake Yasuo.

Junkο5 votes

Zac has already overtaken Yasuo. Zac is in 60-70%, Yasuo is in 30-40%.

Champ needs to be completely gutted, they managed to make him literal cancer, ccs you for so long while displacing and killing you, oh and its all in aoe.

UpDownLeftRightAB4 votes

He was good before this rework and not as oppressive with the length of his CC chain, which I swear he can push 10 seconds of CC on someone, and like only Leona comes "close" to that number with like 4.5 seconds of CC.

flyingbaklava1 votes

He also did a lot more damage (he lost over 60% of his ultimate potential damage). It's funny how adding CC to a champion can make even a massive loss of damage like what Zac went through seem like a massive buff.

YFisfabulousBRUH1 votes

i really didnt have a problem with zac before the rework. I didnt see him a lot but when i did he was fine and not too oppressive, now if he hits EITHER of his cc spells its gg for you.

Wyrmblade1 votes

Rework a pretty balanced champion and then gut him. Brilliant!

Canastus3 votes

Doesn't matter how often they nerf this guy, as long as his existence invalidates immobile carries due to his insane ganking potential (and it's AOE, too) he'll remain banned.

Did you ever have to play as an immobile mage against this abomination? It's quite unbearable.

Maligaro Spike1 votes

back when he was kinda meta he wasn't nearly as picked or banned, is mostly his damage being completely over any logic for anyone building 0 dmg and his ult being way too reliable while keeping a low CD

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

Yeah because he has been reworked???? Did you sleep or something? His ganks are more op than ever.

SweedishGunner2 votes

As a Viktor main, I feel you.

UpDownLeftRightAB2 votes

I played immobile ADCs against him. I liked it before the rework because it was possible to counterplay the champ through good positioning and footwork. Now it seems like it doesn't even matter cause if he misses his initial CC, he has 2 other stuns to instantly drop. And even better ones than he had before, cause even if his ult does no damage, it's like a 3 second knockup into his team.

Junkο2 votes

It's unbearable even if you play a mobile champion. Seriously he has a very long range initiation mobility CC(which was already pretty annoying on it's own) followed by 2 very strong displacement abilities. Mobility spell on CD or your mobility spell is just a tiny dash? Too bad.

55% in bronze+, and rises the further up the ladder you go, peaking at nearly 90% in LCS (based on Leagueofgraphs info).

General Esdeath 2 votes

God bless the balance team that buffed him because zac players cried before learning how to use him

Durzaka1 votes

Idiots like you who think Zac was actually ok before the buff are the problem.

He was absolutely useless after they reworked him. But they decided to buff too many things at the same time and that is what made him broken. He needed a buff. But he did not need all of them.

One of the biggest buffs is that returned the 1 second knock up to his E after having taken it away. So this lets him actually land his ult.

That change alone would likely have been enough to bring his win rate up. But they didnt stop there. They also gave his Q a Max HP ratio, as well as made it generate 2 blobs when used on 2 unique targets, so his sustain is absolutely insane right now

Meep Man1 votes

He wasn't "useless".

Durzaka1 votes

His ult was actually impossible to use. Anyone in the game could walk out of it, even if he landed his E on them. So he basically was a champion without an ult.

General Esdeath 1 votes

"ok" isn't the word I'd use, Mr. Aggressive,

After a rework if the champ feels weak take some time to get a feel for them. He wasn't useless, but too many people complained about too many things. After Fizz was reworked people thought his W was weak, and then realized it solved his issues of not being able to do anything except AA after a rotation, and csing was hard without going oom.

W/ hard CC on 3 abilities, a GA style passive, nah who woulda thunk it?

Veltox1 votes

That's what you get when you rework a unique champion with barely any problem.

LemurKick1 votes

I've noticed a pattern on all these reworks

  1. Champ is reworked
  2. Boards cries for buffs and goes on about how champ will never be strong after rework
  3. Champ gets a buff or two and people actually figure out how to play after the rework.
  4. Champ is OP
  5. Boards cry
Catastrophic1 votes

yea it happened with waay too many champs I mean all of these: Zac

Meep Man1 votes

Also: Skarner KogMaw Vladimir Talon Shaco

Catastrophic1 votes

Oh mb then, those were before my time

LemurKick1 votes

I remember it happening with the following: Darius Fiora Skarner KogMaw Vladimir Shaco Zac As well as a couple others that are just fine after their reworks, contrary to what the boards would have had you believe.

NNS Survivor1 votes

New zac is legit a support. You can't 1v1 with him, as long as you kill the enemy laner you can deal with Zac's ganks. He was more strong in 1v1's in the past, now he feels like Ivern
