Annie is bullshit.

Annie is a bullshit champion that lacks sufficient counter-play and here are the reasons why.

  1. She can perpetually hold her stun, thus zoning you from ever getting close (TF's gold card was nerfed because he could also perpetually zone you)
  2. When she uses her stun, the window of opportunity to attack and engage on Annie is very small. It's very easy to bait the enemy team into an engage as Annie because of how quickly Annie can charge her stun.
  3. Flash Tibbers is obscenely broken. The only counterplay to that is to be at 1200 range from Annie at all times and to have damn good reaction time, but even then, its near impossible to dodge a flash/tibbers combo. (Veigar was nerfed for the exact same reason. The only counterplay to Veigar was to dodge the instant stun .. hmm... sounds really fucking familiar)

There is no reason for this champion to exist in this current state. Her only counter-play available is to have near instant reaction time, that is NOT enough counter-play and goes against everything Riot has been saying over the past year or two. "We want to give players an opportunity to be able to fight back" There is no chance to fight back against Annie. She really needs to be looked at, at least a delay or something on her Tibbers so I have a chance to GTFO instead of seeing my HP bar disappear because being 1100 range away from Annie is "out of position"

Y'know who else can hold their stun indefinitely?

Every champion in the game with a stun.

Her's is problematic in that her stun abilities are instant and deal tremendous damage, not to mention the high ratios let her easily build AP bruiser and both be hard to kill and easily kill carries, meanwhile landing a stun makes it ridiculously easy to land the rest of annie's kit. Almost every other champion has some caveat to their stun such as having a delay before happening, requires a skillshot to land, poor positioning, hitting a delayed wall, has to stack to it, avoid being in melee range, and/or does not deal nearly as much damage as Annie's stun.

Annie has poor positioning when she uses her stun. It requires her to be in autoattack range of the enemy ADC. The only way she avoids that is flash.

I don't get why people are complaining about a zero mobility short ranged champ. Annie is basically the AP equivalent of old Darius. She can be kited easily by longer ranged ADCs, never mind poke mages and Nidalee.

It requires her to be in autoattack range of the enemy ADC.

Which isn't much of a weakness since they can get at most one auto attack off (which if you built bruiser, isn't going to hurt much) since you just cc them then proceed to explode them. If her spell ranges were teemo auto attack range, then that would be something, but her ability range is just as good (if not better) than most adc's auto attack range (600 range on ult, 625 on Q, 625~ on W)

She has the issue of if you are within a certain distance of her and she has her passive ready, she just has to land an instant cast ability to kill someone.

ranges on spells and autoattacks is different since they are calculated from different points on the model. autoattacks from the edge, spells from the center. Annie actually needs to get within a Vayne of autoattack range and can't actually cast spells on a Caitlyn, Jinx or Kog.

Also, without flash, she cannot actually engage them, since the ADC is in the backline being peeled for.

Still, armor items exist and so does building bruiser annie. Not that hard to do.

tldr

but yes bannie should be reworked

If she chooses to hold her stun she's also choosing not to use any of her abilities, at all.

Flash tibbers is basically all she has. I can see the motivation for giving tibbers a cast time, but you'd have to buff her incredibly hard in compensation.

that all true^^

But lets make her like Veigar, Her R gets a delay, but as compensation will the Q become a skillshot, problem solved ;D (this is irony of course, this happend to Veigar)

Try playing Lux against her. I've had really good experiences landing against Annies as Lux or Morgana. If you land your snares or binds, you'll be fine.
