Why has this not been addressed or fixed? I hate being deemed a "leaver" because i can't connect to the fucking game due to this bug. Its unfair for me to be labeled as a leaver when this firewall bug has NOTHING to do with my internet connection or system preferences. This is ALL Riot's fault and it needs to be fixed ASAP. /end rant

Edit: Once again I can't connect to a game because of this firewall bug. Everything goes fine until I try to load the game. I then promptly d/c and can't rejoin. This makes me and many others very angry because of the fear of being banned. This issues needs to be addressed right now before things get worse. I don't want the new leaver buster system to ban players for the wrong reasons. This is NOT what Lyte intended and I don't want to be caught up in this bullshit because of something that I can't control.

As I'm typing this 4 people are raging and reporting me for not connecting to the game/afk. Ive restarted my pc, and tried to reconnect around 20 times. WTFFF RIOT, this is really frustrating, and i hate how it negatively reflects on my account.

If they would freaking address the issue on the game and have the little warning/info about it so everyone can read that problems are being had maybe people would be a little more understanding. Most people who aren't experiencing the problem just think we're full of shit and doing it on purpose. Happened to me last night and I got reported and raged at and I'm like "Wtf."

I played 4 games in a row and this game I hit the magic lottery for "FCK YOU" - basically going to get flagged as a leaver - Riot better wipe clean the people who have this error - stupid as hell.

Played DOTA 2 way before hearing of league, league is a lot better. Rough patches on both ends., but Riot at least shows some form of compassion towards their players. DOTA shows no compassion towards anyone...learned this the hard way. Got my acc hacked, sent them logs and everything and they simply said, "You have not bought anything from us, we will not help you". That was actually said to me.

Then it happens twice and I get banned for 35 ranked games by leaver buster after probably never leaving a game since beta. Cheers to a great system Riot. Please keep taking millions of our dollars and doing nothing to improve the games servers or bugs... but DAT LCS DOE...not.

When you get that cannot connect button where it prompts you to click "Reconnect" vs "Cancel". ALWAYS CLICK CANCEL. It will then take you back to the client where you can click the yellow reconnect button and voila! It connects you back to the game.

If you click the Reconnect button instead of cancel, it never connects for me again.

They need to fix this issue, it gets annoying.

I have the same issue, it just started a few days ago and I'm having random people never reconnect to the game. Then I hit the lottery and got this error even though I have been playing for a few hours just fine and changed no settings.

This issue popped up this week for me. I've had to try to reconnected every time I first start the launcher for the day. After so many attempts I end up missing the games I try to get into.

I get this, too. Clearly the problem is on Riot's end, and throwing up that error message blaming our firewalls is a d!ck move. I can't imagine how many people try disabling their firewalls, resetting routers, trying new routers, modems, calling ISPs, etc. etc. all because Riot is blaming instead of acknowledging and fixing.

I've been having this problem for a week. The first few days it would take about 2, or 3 tries to log in. Well in subsequent days it's just gotten worse and worse and now can take me as many as 9 or 10 attempts to finally log in.

I did some searching and found that you can usually log in without the hassle if you just clear your dns cache. On windows you can open command promt and type in ipconfig /flushdns and I was able to log in immediately. So far It's worked for me every time.

The infection of ignorance festers in the minds of plentiful players who report us and thus leave us with undesired punishment through the blind technicalities of the tribunal. It is not fair for the plethora of players to be unable to reconnect. I am sure these things may or may not be addressed but what we need as players is reassurance that you are there and not making us waist our time by asking for help that will never arrive. It feels like we are trying to start a campfire with wet wood, we try and try but no sign of some sort of change. People are also unable to log in to their accounts. Riot if you are to keep the faith of good standing players whom are being let down on a time of holiday please get back to us via Email.

Reporting has absolutely no effect on leavers, and leavers don't get sent to the tribunal. The tribunal is for bad behavior. The leaver buster system automatically handles leavers. Also, if anyone would bother checking the status page, people would know that Riot has been working on a fix for the firewall error since Tuesday.

As I said a few comments down, you can fix this error by closing your game and launching it as administrator.

Weird, works fine for me. I've gotten the firewall error 10+ times now, simply relaunching never worked but launching as admin has always worked for me.

Launching as admin doesn't work for me sadly... the funny thing is I have no issues when I play on the EU West servers. So it seems like the NA servers are just crap.

You know, Riot does recommend you check if you can play BEFORE YOU START games (Maybe play a custom game? I did that and I found out the firewall was fucking me up so I turned it off and it worked?) But no you have to rush your ass into a ranked game and find out oh no! Firewall and you waste everyone else's time with your haste

I did a custom and it worked, did a normal and the firewall glitch happened. Tried turning off firewall, and it still happened. So checking with customs is completely unreliable because it happens at different times. some games i get it, most the time I don't.

Guys, whatever you do, NEVER turn off your Firewall, Regardless of This error. If Letting it through your Firewall Isn't enough, then It's a bug in the LoL software. Turning off the Firewall fixes nothing and leaves you as an open target for Viruses and Spyware.

I just had a game where 4 fucking people did not/ were not able to connect. If it had not happened to me like 15 times I would have been pissed but I understand, I wish Riot would fix this shit though, it is making me not want to play the fucking game

I just sent 28 minute trying to join a game. When I finally do get in, its the post game screen. 3 People didn't connect at all. 3 people were labeled as leavers. Why has this not been fixed yet?

Your getting marked as a leaver BECAUSE YOUR NOT FUCKING THERE. I've played over 50 games on this patch and have yet to have this issue even once myself. What im sick of is constantly losing goddamn games because my team is the one always missing a fucking player. I just lost promos for the second time today because both games our support never fucking connected. Your getting marked a leaver because your fucking over your teammates who are not having the issue. So fucking fix your shit or use one of the work arounds and stop fucking people over then you will stop being marked a leaver.

I've tried every single work around that's been posted. I just got locked out of a ranked game for the entire ranked match, in which they won 4v5, and lost 22 LP's in the process.

Try not being a dick and accepting that some times other people have problems you don't.

The problem here is not on our end. It's a totally random glitch that cannot be fixed on our end. I admit, I have been one of the ones that has missed levels 1-3 because of this, and I have seen enemies and allies alike get it. Yes, it is incredibly annoying. I hate when it happens to my team, and I even pity the enemy when it happens to them. I will agree with you on the fact that it is ruining a lot of games.

I will disagree with where your blame is placed though. This is an issue on Riot's end, and THEY should be the ones blamed for any loss of LP. Insulting those experiencing the glitch helps no one. Consider yourself lucky that it has not yet happened to you, as this seems to be totally random with its targets. I do hope that it doesn't happen to you, but know that the rest of us are not controlling this. Believe me, we do not want to start a game behind everyone else, and we do not want to force our friends and potential allies into an uneven fight.

While this glitch is happening, Ranked should either be disabled or if a game has an uneven number of players, Loss Prevented should be enabled.

If you knew anything about computers you would know that random is not a thing. The fact that it doesn't effect everyone and the fact that it is a problem with the clients highly suggests that the problem is a faulty interaction between the client and another program on your system or possibly a driver or hardware you have installed. All of which are completely within your control and with enough tinkering you could isolate the cause and fix it yourself. But no you'd rather just run the risk of screwing over strangers. While the blame for the glitch does Lie with riot. The blame for fucking over other players still lies with you.

I'd say since you haven't experienced it you have no idea what you are talking about. For me it happens in about 1 in 10 games, nothing changes on my end so that means faulty coding on Riot's end. My firewall has no issues for the majority of my games then Riot tells me it is preventing connection? Hardly especially since I can monitor my firewall.

Seriously this issue spiked in 2012 which they ignored and it's happening again. I went through a ton of messages with support and in the end the issue just ended, support did nothing for me then. It took a very long time (I don't remember exactly how long) and the issue was 100% on their side, nothing changed on my end at all.

TO ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE: You must download a VPN. League of Legends isn't connecting because for some odd reason it doesn't like your ip address. The VPN will change it and you'll be able to play. You may experience some lag for time to time, but it will hardly affect how you will perform in the game. Eventually I didn't have to use it any longer so it should only be temporary. Im not a computer guy so dont ask why this is..just dont it it works!!!!

I'm not going to go through the hassle, expense and potential security risk of installing and running another service on my computer because Riot cannot into networking properly.

Your advice is just as bad as the asinine "disable your firewall and antivirus" in their troubleshooting section. Those things exist for a reason and should not be disabled unless you know what you're doing.
