How wise would it be to start a brand new account come preseason?

This is something I've been thinking of for awhile now. Ive been hard stuck in Bronze 2 for a long time now, despite me feeling like I truly, and honestly play at a mid to low Silver level. Sure, there isnt thst much difference between Silver 4, and Bronze 2, but climbing out of bronze is incredibly difficult.

Now, before you come at me with torches and pitchforks, I'm not blaming anyone for me being stuck. I still have plenty of things to work on that I am getting better at. Slowly, but surely.

So, I've been considering starting a new account to see where I truly stand as a player, with no past MMR holding me back. However, I've been skeptical of doing so due to the amount of IP needed to build just 1 proper rune page, and I currently have 16 different pages, of which allows me to properly play any champ at a decent (albeit, mediocre) level.

Come preseason though, with the massive Rune overhaul, this will no longer be an issue, so, starting a new account will be very easy. Im making this thread to ask others who have done the same thing if they felt it was a good decision, or just a waste of their time.

Im curious.
