Everyone talking about clunky Aatrox kit yet Urgot kit get rekt by it.

Honestly today i was urgot against Aatrox every Q and every pull Aatrox got in his kit just make things more worst for Urgot landing his E or Q.

Maybe before you keep crying about Aatrox kit being clunky watch Urgot and how that "Clunky " kit as you say rekt Urgot.

Uh... What? Urgot hard counters Aatrox. Literally every aspect of Urgot shits all over new Aatrox.

No, you dont understand. Aatrox SUCKS against champions that get up close and hug him. He wants to keep people at a distance, like Camille or Sion. Urgot just jumps in and is like "heeeeey baby" slowly doing his little circle crab walk around him, and there's nothing Aatrox can do about it.

Anybody can get fed, and if you get frustrated and tell yourself "this champ is op" rather than focus on what you need to do better, of course you're gonna get destroyed. That doesn't mean the matchup is the problem. You are.

Do you have Discord? Could i add you so you can screen share the replay and i can see if i can spot what you could have done better?

I actually disagree here. While I'm sure he could have played better because I don't see this match up as a hard stomp for either, Aatrox actually can perform decently well against Urgot as Urgot's optimal range sits close enough to Aatrox's Qs sweet spots that it makes Urgot one of the easiest champions for Aatrox to land Qs on, especially during his W. The worse part is that Aatrox's healing can also make getting him below that sweet R threshold incredibly difficult if you can't burst him down, which is once again very hard since the main way Urgot deals burst damage is by hitting someone with multiple leg blasts during his W, which is also the ideal time for Aatrox to start slamming Urgot with his Q.

Not to mention Aatrox can just R to prevent himself from dying to Urgot R if he can cast it before the chains latch on. Now I'm not saying Urgot is just going to fall over and die to Aatrox, but I disagree that Urgot HARD COUNTERS Aatrox.

That is my whole point urgot can't even land q or e on Aatrox cause the damn q spams it easy to do with his pulling on urgot and q sweet spots that knock him over and over.

And even after level 11 you can't rotate around aatrox by all means unless he screw so hard and fall into your e which is impossible if you land your q over and over keep your distance. Not to mention as you Aatrox got sustain and got passive to break Urgot shield putting Urgot in hopeless position against his sustain while his W shield is useless now.

Daruis , illaoi and such other juggernauts got sustain in their kit while Urgot still isn't working like all of them cause no sustain.

Executioner's calling and bramble vest are both near-core items on Urgot. That's why he's excellent against any sustain-heavy champion. Also, any experienced Urgot player will never actually stay around their max range with their W - they will walk literally on top of their target as it allows them to proc their passive in every direction, rather than two or three at most.

The only time it ISNT a good idea to do this is against champions that build a ton of attack speed such as jax - and Aatrox is no longer AA-trox.

And that is the problem i talking about he got many displacement from his q to his w that make the clunky already kit of urgot more clunky and hard to do. Cause your q and w get displacement along the way once you get pulled or get q sweet spots.

Thing is, Aatrox shouldnt be able to land any of his own displacement without a flash. Urgot displaces Aatrox to begin with - this severely messes up his Q combo, and he has to expend a dash (dashing into Urgot's minion wave) to even hope to land his Qs after Urgot Es him.

Never mind that Urgot with cleaver pretty much 3shots him, Urgot with executioners calling and ninja tabi renders Aatrox completely unable to leave his tower.

Provided Urgot can land his E, of course. Buy a item 2033 to ensure you can spam your spells for longer than Aatrox can heal up with his very meagre sustain.

Alright then i will try what you saying, yet you need to understand that i talking about who got the most clunky kit here which is urgot and aatrox kit make it more clunky with all of his q spams

Aatrox's kit is endlessly more clunky than Urgot's. Especially after Urgot got the buff to his W (which can now be activated during other spells and does not cancel movement commands). Aatrox has three extremely clunky spells (five if you count each Q charge) while Urgot only has two - his Q and E. And even then his E is way better than his Q when it comes to responsiveness.

I can agree to that but still E and Q for urgot is more important in position since it set for his main source of damage which is W.

They are also much, much easier to hit and on much, much lower cooldowns. I think that compensates.

I feel its kinda a skill matchup. AAtrox Q sweet spots and using his E to counter urgot E. Vs urgot blocking damage with W and yanking urgot into range with R or pokeing down with passive and Q.

Both have options and outplay opportunity's, can be fruturating when eather gets behind. Id give urgot the edge, but in ganks id have to say aatrox has a early advantage vs urgot.

Block damage with W , yet you forgot that Aatrox passive break shield and healing :)

Kai Guy1 votes

I did not forget about it as he has to use the Passive befor Urgot W. Like I said skill matchup. If your W is after your debuffed, odds are he has slapped you around already with 1-2 Qs, and got his W off, at which point you took 2-3 abilitys of damage AND his passive and likely your shields not even gonna stop that 3rd Q befor breaking.
The passive damage is reduced by the shield if its up, and it does not affect the shield amount if its already been cast.

Casting W after being hit by trox passive, This is not blocking damage well. Ideally its if you see the first Q sweet spot about to land you pop W, Then E to get out of his follow up or E into him if you have his hp low enough that you can attempt a full Leg guns and R kill.

So again, id give urgot the slight advantage in a balanced skill matchup, just has more opportunists to win trades or get free damage off but I think aatrox has much better synergy on ganks. urgot 2v1 struggles, aatrox 2v1 struggles but his R can give him a better window. in 2v2 Aatrox has better AOE, better CC and can be difficult to focus cuz hes just going to Rez .

Edit So I very much disagree with frontline Fury. But I don't think aatrox inherently wins lane vs urgot and its gonna be decided by the players more then the champions. And in equal skill, not counting for jungle or mid impact, id give Urgot a slight advantage due to range and slightly stronger mid game as a lot of his kits power spikes are off EXP helping his passive.

By the way before we keep going with that lovely post, my problem here is not about counter or not counter it about how people cry about aatrox kit being clunky yet in my eyes is much better than urgot kit in terms of movment and displacement which hurt urgot alot since his Q and E are clunky enough. My whole point of his post how Urgot kit is more clunky and Aatrox kit make things worst for him, at the end of day i not talking about that strong or that bad it just about how urgot kit is so powerless against all of new champions with movement and displacement even if that champion called clunky is much better than Urgot.

Ah. Thank you for the clarification that's completely different from what I thought ya ment. I don't agree Aatrox is clunky, everbody saying that seems to be comparing him to riven and its pretty clear after 1 game that's just not his kit. Despite the Q similarity their function is hugely different.

Good part of why I said skill matchup is that Aatrox E gives him fantastic counter play to Urgots Engage as even mid cast on other abilitys it can be used, but I disagree with the statement his kit reks urgot as I feel that urgots got the opportunity to consistently outtrade Trox due to a range advantage and EXP power spikes bringing him online a little bit faster.

Seriously thou I really do appreciate you making the effort to be more clear when you saw that I was not addressing what you wanted to convey. Good communication skill that is.

If i don't clear my point, then we both would be arguing pointless and most of comments in this post even don't understand what i'm talking here. People just see Urgot and Aatrox think i compare about that op and that weak, No i talking about how Aatrox isn't clunky by all means and his Q sweet spots allow him to keep hitting urgot from range while using urgot weak point which is Q and E landing like why Yorick and Trundle counter Urgot ? Cause Walls displacement ruin his q and E movement even after they abject this collision size.

Yes Urgot got range advance over Aatrox but remember his Q sweet spots range allow him to poke urgot at right spots from same range which is 350.

Yea aatrox is not clunky and the comparison to him and Riv is stupid and needs to stop being made. 1 game should really be all that's needed to see they don't function the same. Trox really just a threat with that first Q range, urgot has options, more if aatrox uses E to move to land the ability.

Like I said, for me it really comes down to a skill matchup between the two with urgot having a slight advantage in early game 1v1s. I don't buy urgot being the OMGWTFBBQ hardcounter folks say he is to new trox. That's just not true. a good urgot should destroy a bad aatrox…. and vice versa.

^^^^ is skilledmatch about who able to get who, if Urgot get his E it done and if Aatrox got his Q it done.

But the people who cry about Aatrox i'm sure 100% they just used to like the old toxic rageblade AA Aatrox , same goes for Tryn Mains who going to cry about his rework cause this people like Singed mains who cried about banner and Singed nerf can't play anything beside them.
