Now, I love the way Olaf was reworked and his playstyle is fun

We all know that the old Olaf was way too strong, and we must admit the "new" Olaf also had some good days when released. His playstyle is satisfying, however I never understood why his ult works that way. He's a tank/bruiser, and many of them have abilities that increase his stats. However, his ulti removes his stats for AD. Those stats are what most matter on a teamfight, but to have damage you must remove them. But you should tank the damage at the same time for the team on teamfight. This simply doesn't tag along.

Alistar for example gets 70% dmg reduction plus CC immunity, Olaf gets CC immunity but his stats are removed. SImply doesn't make sense. And we know Olaf needs help.

I don't mind if the AD he gets a bit lower, but can his armor/mr still be there when he's ulting. Or decrease cast time from 6 to 5 seconds, wherever, I just think it's nonsense to have an ulti like that. A good peeler will take advantage of it. Olaf atm the moment doesn't have strengths when changing someone, or you have resistances, or you have CC immunity. And for a champ without gap closer, when the game state benefits champs with mobility so much, that his ultimate isn't rewarding.

TL;DR: Change his ultimate to not remove his resistances, 6 seconds on a champ without gap closer isn't gamechanging.

That was like the whole point of his rework though. Removing resistances during his ult means the opponent now has the counterplay of focusing Olaf when he ults.

Feel free to propose other Olaf buffs, but there's no way they will go back on that.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Riot wants counterplay. They want abilities to have countermeasures over simply "never get within a mile of that guy".

And Olaf's face-crunching LoL CC ult doesn't offer much counter-play other than "take advantage of the crazy guy only having average defense".

Alistar's ult doesn't grant immunity to CC. It simply cleanses most CC on activation. Olaf's cleanses those same types of CC on activation, then it grants him a solid amount of time where he's flat out immune to CC - include types Alistar never has an answer to: such as AoE slowing fields, knockback, knockup, pulls, flings, and suppression.

Major difference.

Also, cleanse =/= CC immunity.
