That is the Gameplay circlejerks for you. Theyll upvote anything that supports their thoughts on a champ they think is broken, and downvote all others.

Yeah, never liked the voting style. I mean, the old forums weren't perfect, but this voting system is not conducive to discussion either.

Now I'm happy if I can get 20 votes on a discussion and keep it "hot" for longer than a day. I don't meme at all, I pretty much primarily use Boards for constructive criticism, and my upvote high is around 40. That's pretty telling. It only gets worse when you realize some people actually DOWN vote if they don't agree or think of it as "whining", making discussions harder to keep afloat.

Well it might be just that you're a fairly well known boards user, making people more likely to upvote your posts. But yeah, I agree.

Was a good joke with a message about balance in it -> caithlyn is strong atm. You could argue it belonged in memes and games but not every bit of feedback needs to be an essay with 200 source references in it. Using humor and hyperbole can be good feedback that something is to strong/ not liked and raise awareness to some problems. It can ofcourse not be the only means and it wont lead to direct fixes but that doenst mean it cant be usefull in small doses.

K so this did end up getting upvoted close to the top and that's dumb. This shit needs to go. It's one thing to have a problem with Cait and if I spent the time to make valid points, it'd likely get ignored or randomly downvoted. But make my title click bait and make my post more comedy than constructive criticism without actually saying anything, that's the best chance you have at getting a post read and that's disturbing.

This is supposed to be riots official site for discussing balance. Yet this wannabe Reddit style joke of a cesspool doesn't enable that at all because it's all about votes so people can feel good about what they say. It requires no investment into an actual discussion to steer the direction of a topic here. These dumbass nested comments and sort by vote need to go. Maybe then this place can actually get viable feedback that's well thought out and isn't click bait.

Check any topic I make and the only one that got upvoted decently was one about Fizz, but practically every one of the topics was accurate/had good points barring a few; people just don't wanna listen to either anyone that isn't Diamond+/widely known/or makes these cheezy threads.

Have you read the boards changes thing? They're changing things to be on how active the conversation is rather then upvotes/downvotes.

These boards hate Caitlyn. Why wouldn't a valid thread about her be down voted? Unless you meant to defend her, and even then I'd say people exaggerate down voting.

It's important to support a hypothesis with humor to keep it engaging, apes love a good laugh.
