Vid or it didn't happen.

You can't claim stuff like "fizz one shot me at 20 minutes in with only 40 cs and a sheen" without proof. There is now an in client option to download replays. There is little excuse not to get a replay. Claims need proof.

EDIT: 4 downvotes, no counter arguments. I'll wait. Now it's 6. apparently I angered the Fizz haters, or something.

its kinda normal for fizz to oneshot you with 40 cs, he's like Akali Kassadin as in they only get like 1 cs per minute but still kill u

I haven't seen it happen. I have seen many Fizzes lose lane and spend the rest of the game behind and only get a few kills from catching low health and nowhere near teams.

This is nowhere near accurate.

There's an absolute truth, and it does not require proof. It either happened or it didn't. Them lying doesn't make it true, you not believing them doesn't make it false. They don't have to provide evidence, but you don't have to believe them. Skip the post and move on.

Not everyone should be attaching clips to every claim, that just clutters things up. If the claim isn't absolutely outrageous, one can go along with it and have an open discussion and criticize if need be. But it's not false if they don't provide proof. They can claim things, it just doesn't mean it's true.

"Soraka one shot me, nerf." Can't happen under any build. A clip is appropriate here. "Fizz one shot me, nerf." It's certainly possible, his kit has many multipliers that allow for even a poorly performing Fizz to do extreme damage. Could still definitely be false, but that's where you ask the questions of MR, health, ignite, respective champion, etc.

That's true, but if you are making a statement on balance and supporting that statement about balance with a claim, the you should have evidence to back up that claim. If you are making a claim and trying to convince people, you need evidence to convince people.

Skip the post and move on.

I'll do what I want.

not really. If anything it could allow for more clarity and discussion. Someone posts a video of a champion doing something perceived as OP, other people come in and watch the video and point out what could have been done better.

Or you could ask them to post a replay so you can see what happened.

You don't need evidence to convince people, it's a person-by-person basis. You tell me you got one shot by a Fizz, I can choose to ask for some or I can choose to believe you. Depending on the champion and situation, I can choose either. Evidence is simply irrefutable, but not required.

"I'll do what I want."

You're 12, unnecessary quote. Moving on.

"not really. If anything it could allow for more clarity and discussion. Someone posts a video of a champion doing something perceived as OP, other people come in and watch the video and point out what could have been done better."

Technically allows for more clarity, but notice how video posts are far more rare than regular posts. Many people browse the boards to click on topics, read through quickly, and move on. If every post had a video to support claims, less posts would have attention brought to them since reading 5 posts and watching 5 videos are two different things. This is more of a personal opinion than anything. I know I'd click on less topics if I had to watch videos more often to understand them. A picture's worth a thousand words, a video is worth one thousand pictures, but often only a few words are needed to convey a point. Again, this isn't objective.

"Or you could ask them to post a replay so you can see what happened."

That's fine, and definitely you can try that. Not everyone wants to go fetch a file, and it's certainly not required to discuss an issue. Nothing to discuss here, you clearly used the word or. So either video, or describe it in words, there's no correct approach.

I'm not saying clips are bad, as video proof is typically irrefutable. I'm just against your game of absolutes that you play in your post. "Claims need proof." No they don't. Proof may help, but it does not change what happened. All proof does is add validity to an argument, but not to reality. "Can't claim without proof." I absolutely can. I can claim I shot 15 hamsters with a rocket launcher yesterday. You don't have to believe me. In fact, what you believe is 100% irrelevant to whether I shot the hamsters or not. It happened or it didn't. I'm mainly saying this so people don't take after you and go on a nerd-rampage through boards on every complaint post demanding video evidence or bust, because that seriously curtails discussion. Don't waste time ignoring things in life that don't come with definitive evidence, you'll miss a great deal of controversy and discussion through blind refusal of possible truths.

I downvoted because your edits show me it bugs you. I have no real rhyme of reason. It's just a button.

What bugs me is that 6 people saw my post and disliked it, since they voted on it, but none of the 6 ended up writing a counterargument.

trust me... on these forums.. even having hard evidence wont help you convince the vast majority of people here.

I guess that's true.
