Is GLP just better than Luden's in general?

Why should i go Luden's on a Burst Mage when it-

300 gold more expensive than GLP Has 100 less base damage than GLP(At level 18) has only 10 more AP than GLP Doesn't slow to make it easier to catch these slippery target's and has a worse passive effect that i don't have any control over.

Like GLP's ACTIVE scales with your Level so if you get it at level 11 it'll have more base damage than Luden's will at the same level in addition to a 20% AP scaling VS a 10% AP scaling, it costs 300 gold less, you only lose out on 10 AP, 10 AP is the equivalent of 217.5 gold. Like sure Luden's has a little bit better waveclear but, like, GLP seems like an all around better item to me, not to mention the fact that it's a whopping 1050 combine cost to get Luden's which sucks if i'm honest and it builds out of a Lost Chapter(Great Item) and Blasting Wand(Meh Item) whereas GLP builds from two Great Items(Revolver is Fantastic).

What's the insentive to buy this, even on AP assassins i think that GLP is probably better than Luden's.

Passive vs Active; Its easier to trigger passive items than remember to use active ones. Yes, this does matter.

Shorter CD; You have ludens up more often

Waveclear; if you cannot one shot caster minions, you now can more reliably.

Glacial Augment; GLP Relies a lot on Glacial to become really, really good. Its definitely an under appreciated option, as you can grab ghosts + GLP and have a LOT of utility while still being able to fuck up someone's day, but its a playstyle not everyone likes.

Hextech Revolver is not as flexible of an item as Blasting Wand. With Blasting Wand you have options to finish Luden's Echo or go into Magic Pen. If you have Hextech Revolver in your inventory, you have no choice but to build any of 3 Hextech items if you don't choose to sell it. But if you already had the parts for GLP, you might as well build it. Whereas Luden's you can forgo Lurden's and sit on Lost Chapter and build Morellonomicon if you had to, then finish your Luden's.

Not saying a situation where building into Morello's before Luden's is entirely optimal, but you DO have that option.

Luden's proc does 100 less base damage than GLP's active, but you can charge it up in ~7-9 seconds of moving, depending on your movement speed, and it can't miss. It's way more damage in the long run, since it's added on to basically every trade. Its range is only restricted by the range of your spells. GLP's active has a 40-second cooldown, can miss, and has limited range.

No cast time (GLP has a pretty hefty one at nearly .5 seconds), lower cooldown, and better waveclear are the general ones. I can think of at least a few more "advanced" reasons as well such as getting full healing off of ravenous hunter due to the bug. Glp with glacial is definitely a strong build still though for champions that can run it.

If you have a skillshot CC that you usually start your combo off then, GLP isn’t too bad.

The extra 10 AP on ludens is just for wave clear break points. Ludens also has more uptime, but if you’re playing a burst mage you usually don’t do extended fights in the first place.

well because as many have already said. It's way easier to proc Luden's and the damage from it is available more often than GLP's. GLP is great for all ins but Luden's is way better for poke and waveclear without having to put yourself in danger since Luden's range is literally your abilities range vs GLP whose range is rather small. You need to look less into just raw numbers and more about what each item is meant to accomplish. There are times where Luden's is better and there are times where GLP is better
