Riot's contradictions, and disrespect towards its customers is disgusting.

"we’ll limit the roughly top 1% of MMR (Diamond 5 or higher) to solo, duos, or trios." (Riot announcement)

How are challenger series/ university teams etc. going to practice with a limit of 3 premades and no team queue? Scrims exist, but are they convenient? No. RIP every University / Amateur team.

**"We want you to play with your friends" ** Unless you are diamond or higher, then go fuck yourself :P

**"[Ranked 5v5] shouldn't return this year. It's something we'll look at with care for next season but there's a possibility it won't return." **(Riot Brazil)

It's funny how they remove solo queue saying they want to emphasize teamwork and that they remove ranking as a TEAM of 5 people. That should really show you all that it's not teamwork they care about, they want retention numbers for casual protozoa. It was never about teamwork. I cringe when people say your rating is more about teamwork now, it's not. You're still playing 5v5s. The only difference is your rating is a team effort, aka boost city, you guys should seriously unban Apdo.

"So I pretty much quit streaming league in terms of the "Illuminati shaco." I'll probably still play league on stream from now and again with viewers in normals, sometimes off stream, but probably gonna stick to overwatch. I'll still upload stuff on YouTube weekly as usual, but the community has killed my yearning to grind ranked for higher elo." (Pink Ward)

Yeah, looks like some iconic high elo people are quitting League thanks to your idiocy. He was fun to watch. Thanks.

"From here on, we're going to be working on solving all of these problems we've caused by the larger problem we refuse to acknowledge." (Riot)

They acknowledge the last several months have been generally awful for ranked play, but they fucking refuse to acknowledge what started these last months. Solo/duo ranked was definetely not perfect and there were issues, but dynamic queue has so many more problems. Don't get me wrong, I love the new champ select, but this abomination completely overshadows it.

"To address position shortages, we’re adding an autofill mode that can trigger when queue times are too long. If players enter queue with excessive estimated wait times, the matchmaker will potentially assign them a role other than the two they selected." (Riot)

Wasn't the intention of this new Queue that you are promised one of your two selected roles? This is complete bullshit. Autofill option? More like autoloss if you get players on their offroles vs. players on their mainroles, especially in high elo. Say you're a big jungle main with 2 hours of free time. You're in a 20 min queue and right as you are about to get a game, another extraordinary Rito automated program called auto fill decides "fuck u" and you just waited 20 min to support. You guys shouldn't be making money for making these "decisions"

"We're sorry for the terrible communication on this matter" (Riot)

Everytime, oh my god. It's getting really fucking old. Why say shit like that if you NEVER improve on it. Get a grip Riot. ** "Reddit's in a downvoting brigade on solo queue - I'll answer questions on Twitter (or amalgamate in a twitlonger)**" (RiotPwyff)

No way. This HAS to be a joke. "If they don't want to have a conversation, that's fine." Are we children now? You want to have a conversation, but you've refused to listen to the playerbase on Reddit, the Boards, and Inven (Acknowledged, we aren't the full playerbase) on this issue at all in the last 6 months. But now you want to have a conversation. Wow.

You deserve every ounce of shit you get for this. Address these problems, now. Make haste before you lose more of your playerbase.

ill be honest... im fairly certain this is less "riot" and more "tencent", as tencent is majority shareholder and these changes make sense in the chinese market, not the north american market.

Weren't these plans far into testing before their merger though?

tencent has been in control for years.

Then I'm thinking of something else, or I'm confused as fuck, I really don't care anymore lol

This isn't just unpopular in North America, I have exact textual evidence that this is unpopular in Korea (the shit storm on inven is hilarious), this is unpopular in Europe, this is unpopular in Brazil. It's probably unpopular in Latin America and Russia, but I can't read Russian, and my Spanish is awful.

Riot is also literally treating us as children who can't discuss anything see "Reddit's in a downvoting brigade on solo queue - I'll answer questions on Twitter (or amalgamate in a twitlonger)" (RiotPwyff)

doubt it had anything to do with tencent.... they change anything that has a higher winrate for instance champions... when they have a high winrate they are nerfed and in this instance in higher elos (diamond+) the 5 man teams were getting like a 65% winrate or some shit just for having 5 paired which was unfair... not many people que as 5 in higher elo its actually pretty rare so match making would have to force the 5 man vs duo/trio to get into a game

Well worded post, and you hit nearly every nail on the head, I hope they see this one.....

The reason its limited is because its not possible, you can't have them queuing as five, their isn't enough players to support the feature and have fair matchs, there just isn't enough. If it was possible then Riot would allow it, but its not, there are only 200 players in Challenger, like a 1-2 thousand in Master, and a few 10,000 in Diamond, this is a very small amount, which decreases Drastically when you add in trying to find groups of 5 and 4 evenly matched teams, all on the same MMR.

Its not possible, and won't be possible due to the nature of High Elo.

Then why get rid of team ranked? huh?

That would keep competitive integrity, but nope, they wanted to scrap it.

Guy Fox Teemo1 votes

Because of the same issue I stated above, not enough people were in the system, leading to inbalanced matchs and a rank that meant almost nothing most of the time due to the small pool of players; there was not enough people in the system to get fair and good matchs, so it was scrapped.

Well the problem was matching making putting a 5 man group against a duo or trio because of how long que times were... and it gave the 5 man group a huge advantage leading to higher elo abusing it... it was literally freelo if you had all 5 on chat vs a duo trio... ping just dont work as good as talking it through
