Finally found a counter to this ridiculously overbuffed nasus

He was fine before the rune system change. Weak early traded for infinite stacking. Now his stacking mechanism is like 3x faster, hes much safer in lane with the new rune system, and his ult not only gives health and magic dmg per second but armour, mr, bonus range AND 50% cdr on Q. Already shared my theory that the person responsible for this change was sleeping with a nasus player and they are probably married by now.

That said, a properly built mordekaiser counters him.

Enemy nasus was fed and ploughing through my team taking objectives non stop. As jungle morde I was equally fed, fortunately.

I decided to try 1v1 him in my ult. He was 1k stacks and I won. So, every teamfight I would ult him 1-2 seconds after he used his ult. Then I would kill him. The point is, even if I dont but survive the 7 seconds or even 5-6 seconds, he ends up back in the teamfight without his ult and out out position, also under 50% health at least.

Morde is a bigger raidboss than him if built right.

My items:

Tabi Liandries Rylais Thornmail (counters his passive and reduces his dmg a lot) DMP Blue-smite jungle item (300 health + aoe burn) elixir of iron

TLDR: if you counterbuild enemy nasus you will be a bigger raidboss than him, or at least be able to make him useless in teamfights and waste his ult.

Also, i was blue smite, but red smite would make it even easier to 1v1 him.

you mean you finally realized that nasus is only powerful because he can heal from his Q and his Q is an auto attack?

good for you for figuring that out. it's common knowledge for older players, but the easiest way to beat nasus is to poke him with something that can slow and from range or to simply just apply grievous wounds and build armor.

one word of advice though - his E shreds armor so if he uses it on you dont expect your armor to soften the blows. In those cases I'd recommend just getting HP. On top of that a lot of times nasus will build defensive items like spirit visage and sunfire cape. If he does start stacking defensive options then you should consider getting mortal reminder or void staff.

oh yeah, my rkeystone was conq

I mean. As morde I went into enemy base and was dancing there and then got engaged on. The enemy team had Lucian, Fiora, Pyke, Nunu, and Zed if i remember correctly.... conq with rav hunter morde with Liandries, thornmail, tabi, and i think i was working on a protobelt maybe? Cant remember. Went in 1v5, got to half health then never died. Half health was because conq needed to proc and passive too. My team and their team were literally going "wtf is that?" It was my first game with new morde. So yeah. He is a little over tuned atm, his base damages will likely be lessened..... or at least his ratios maybe. T

He plays very similar, but more like an upgraded version of not the last morde.... but the morde before that.

lol, i said 500 other things and you focus on the thornmail?

The point is, even with a grevious item and armor or hp or whatever, if nasus is fed and stacked pretty much nobody can duel him. This nasus did, btw, have spirit visage. Hardly anyone builds any dmg on him other than TF. He was full tank apart from the TF.

The point is, taking him out of the game for 7 seconds and having a good chance at killing him is a definitely a counter.

was your reply to me? because you replied incorrectly and I didn't get the notification. You basically just replied to yourself. I only noticed it because I was re-reading what I typed.

My focus wasn't on thornmail. My focus was on acknowledging that there are other forms of grievous wounds to counter his healing and that they often times work better again his healing than thornmail IF you're playing a ranged champion. I wasn't focusing on Morde because my point was that most veteran players already know how to counter Nasus in general.

Morde's R is meant to remove an opponent from the battle. In the case of Nasus - yes that might be a good move, but it might also be a good move to remove someone else depending on who else is on the enemy team. Especially if your team can handle nasus on their own. There are just too many variables to address them all when talking about it like that since you didn't give any specifics and were basically just posting a congratulatory post to yourself for having found out how to counter a specific scenario that might or might not work next time.

so instead of worrying about the specifics I gave you generic advice. because i'm not sure what you were expecting in the comments/reply section.

He beats Nasus because Nasus has a weakness to % max health damage. Its the reason why a good Fiora late game can destroy a 700+ stack Nasus.

He was fine before the rune system change.

Reverting back to the old runes and masteries would benefit Nasus more than any other champion in the game.

He was overbuffed because Riot forced a rush/snowball meta a few months ago.
