I like on how ppl say jhin is balanced because "hes immobile"

RexSaur··4 votes·1,256 views

Meanwhile Jinx is even easier to be dived on and she doesnt have the massive upsides jhin has for his so called "weakness", jhin is not weak at any point in the game so why does jinx has to have 0 impact in lane?

Better hypercarry scaling.

Better hypercarry scaling.

Jhin is not even behind late game because he can burst harder (so he does more damage if he gets focused quickly) and he has 3k range abilities so he can always do something/he cant be zoned and he has huge catch potential.

I mean if we think jhin is fine with all of that then jinx really needs some stuff back into her kit, like less mana costs.

Honestly Jhin's late game being good/decent is just a result of marksmen lane bullies never falling off because their items are centered around late game. When it comes to taking structures or bringing high amounts of dps, Jinx is going to trump over Jhin simply because of the gap between their attack speeds.

That is clearly not the case, otherwise we would see Lucian having a huge rise. Jhin is overtuned, he is just too popular to get nerfed meaningfully.

No, he is completely balanced.

It's just most other ADCs are garbage-tier right now.

Completely balanced, yet a highly contested pick in pro play and ranked #1 in overall performance on OP.GG for a full year straight. Look back at this last year. Through all of the ADC metas we have been through, Jhin has been a dominating force in all of them because he is too good at too many things with not enough weaknesses. He is the Azir of ADC's except Jhin gets a free pass because he actually has a player base.

He's strong, but not overly so. He has clear strengths and weaknesses and loads of counterplay options.

If you think otherwise, you are simply ignorant. Again, he's not too strong. Other ADCs are too weak.

I'm ignorant? Please list his strengths and weaknesses then and let's have a discussion about it. Just saying that a champion objectively is not overly strong has no meaning to it. If you want to discuss this at a calm level-headed manner I'm down, but we have to remove all subjectivity. "I'm right and there's nothing you can say to make me change my mind," doesn't lead to healthy discussion.

oh for fuck's sake the burden of proof lies on the accuser (the one saying that Jhin isn't balanced, in response to Ralanr's post) but whatever

Strengths Strong fourth shot on autoattacks and ultimate Long range CC Vision (through traps) Execution burst Potential high MS chains through passive Potential massive AD through passive Execution damage

Weaknesses No realistic mobility for most of the game Has a static 2.5s reload that cannot be avoided Can't gain attack speed except through levels Can't synergize with lifesteal or AA-reliant things that well (Fervor for instance) Almost everything he has in his kit is avoidable or dodgeable (stay out of Q bounce range, dodge W, walk off the traps before they explode, dodge R, have someone bodyblock W or R, etc) Heavily team reliant

Education completed.

I gave my reasons above if you look back at my post. In fact, I addressed the specific faux weakness of Jhin being immobile. He gets windows of movement speed boosts whenever he crits, as you mention in Jhin's strengths, and this alone gives Jhin quite a bit of mobility. But on top of this, Youmoo's Ghostblade is a core item on Jhin which essentially removes his "immobile" weakness entirely. The active has a short cooldown of 45 seconds, meaning that Jhin has a lot of access to movement speed buffs.

Also, in place of CC it would be good to specify that Jhin has: -A damaging root (which has the properties of a stun, i.e. item actives such as Face of the Mountain and Locket cannot be used within it, whereas they can be used in other snares such as Morgana's). -A damaging slow in the form of his trap with an explosion at the end. -Slows on each shot of his ult in order to make it easier for Jhin to hit/harder for opponents to dodge. Most champions have some form of CC, but some have more than others. Sure a lot of his spells are dodgeable, but they have an absurdly large range and short cooldown timers to compensate for that.

Plus, his fourth shot crit procs Deathfire's Touch even though it isn't a spell. And lastly, I would just like to ask which ADC's aren't team reliant?

MissingKayo2 votes

He has no meaningful mobility in terms of escape like Lucian or Twitch for example.

Trap slow is irrelevant.

So what? They are extremely thin and able to be blocked by another champion.

No, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. If it does, it's either a bug or it's because his fourth shot is considered as an ability because it's part of a special interaction with his passive.

Certain duelist ADCs.

Also, you are completely skimping over his largest weaknesses. His lack of attack speed which doesn't even reach 1 full attack per second, only having 4 shots, and then a mandatory 2.5s reload is a massive hamper.

Jhin isn't better, he's just better in low leagues because he can almost be played with no support. His general lone wolf playstyle helps you not have to work with noobs an autofilled riven mains to accomplish kills.

I never said hes better, im just saying the difference btw jhin late game compared to jinx and jhin early game compared to jinx is too much.

Jinx cant even lane against lethality and all that crap, jhin is a lane bully that is almost comparable to jinx late game, thats the problem.

Ralanr1 votes

That's the problem with adc lane bullies in general.

Jhin is the single most contested ADC among pros in solo queue (might be in actual competitive too), lol.

He's picked more often than Caitlyn.

Jinx is a stronger in late game team fights than Jhin. Sure Jhin has a huge burst, but Jinx's sustained damage output is higher. As long as the tanks are soaking up Jhin's attacks, Jinx will melt the enemy team faster.

Kaioko5 votes

Jinx is my main ADC - she's just fine the meta just doesn't favor her at the moment. Have a Jhin and a Jinx both kill a full tank like Mundo -- you'll see who actually does it faster.

Jhin: EXTREME high damage output. Low attackspped. No mobility. Jinx: High damage output. High attackspeed. Movementspeed on her passive.

CORRECTION: Jhin: movementspeed if he crits. Thanks to RexxSaur and Penns for pointing out.

Whilest I'm already editing this I want to add that jinx has consistant DPS while Jhin has a burst.

Jhin gets move speed when he crits tho.

Jhin is more mobile than jinx because he gets ms every 4th auto or crit and jinx ONLY gets on kills/assists, the first one happens more often.

I'm tired of people saying Jhin is immobile. This is simply not true. He gets a speed boost every time he crits and on top of this his build path typically consists of items which provide high mobility such as Youmoo's and the Zeal items. If you want to see a truly immobile ADC, look at Ashe or Kog'Maw.

Jinx has aoe crits and an aoe excute ultimate. Jhin is pretty much only single target dmg. dont compare that braindead monkey champ to Jhin.

"braindead monkey"

Im not saying jhin is an easy champ but its actually easier to play him than jinx right now just because his lane is so powerful compared to jinx not existing early game.

dominusx3 votes

And how is that a suprice? Jhin can set up plays and the game is early focused so Jhin's utility is more usefull and his lane is better because of the said utility. Jinx is mainly a hypercarry that spikes on 2+ items and the meta isnt focused around adc's anymore. And no Jinx doesnt need buffs just wait till the meta favors her again once the snowballing gets reduced. The only adc that needs a buff atm is Ashe/Kog/Kalista ( and i dont want kog or kalista to see play ever again untill they have a proper rework. )

Jinx is cancer whenever she is strong because AOE crit was a great design idea, she should never get buffed imo

Reaper Soraka1 votes

idk. Jinx has a better "late game" damage.

Right now she feels weaker because there isn't much of a "late game" time frame.
