@Meddler, How somebody who loves Hecarim would tweak him

  • I recommand reading this topic concering Hecarim's current state in the game.
  • I appreciate your buffs on PBE. But I don't consider them spot on.

Warpath

  • Added effect: The effect of slows on Hecarim is reduced by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 %

Rampage

  • Base cooldown lowered to 3s
  • Cooldown reduction changed to: If Hecarim damages a champion this ability has its cooldown reduced by 1 second or 0.5 seconds upon hitting a minion or monster. Hitting multiple enemies does not stack this bonus.
  • No longer deals reduced damage to monsters.

Devastating Charge

  • Cooldown reduced to 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11
  • Maximum Damage reduced to 60 / 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 +1.0 AD from 80 / 150 / 220 / 290 / 360 + 1.0 Bonus AD
  • Duration increased from 4 to 5 seconds.

Onslaught of Shadows

  • Cooldown reduced from 140 / 120 / 100 to 120 / 100 / 80
  • The 1 second fear applied by this ability is not effected by tenacity

  • Slow reduction to compensate for the newly introduced continiously becomming stronger slows
  • Q change for more consistency (slight baset case scenario nerf vs. laners), significant improvement for the jungle
  • Much more consistent speedboost on E in order to stay on par with champions like Udyr or RekSai
  • Improvement to the consistency of his ultimate... Currently it#s worse than a burrowed Rek Sai E....

Hecarim could possibly need some scaling tweaks as well, but this is about his core problems.

I think that the only problem here is his Ult can't just straight up ignore Tenacity, thats a problem that the community has been very frustrated with for forever and just even more helps Knock-Up creep. It could be that as more points are put into the ult Tenacity becomes less effective. For example, tier one ult is normally affected by tenacity, tier two tenacity has 15% reduced effectiveness, tier 3 tenacity has 30% reduced effectiveness. (Im not sure if thats how tenacity works, but if it does that could be one way to balance it)

Other than that this is a great rework. Hecarim really needs some love cuz right now Rek'Sai is simply a better Hecarim.

It can. Galio's ultimate does. They changed it recently.

And ty :)

Im not saying its a matter of can or cant, I'm saying shouldnt. That would be too broken. Galio's ult does because before people could just walk out of it.

Would 1 second of fear really be broken? I'm just considering other ultimates here.

Well, if Hecarim has two abilities that now ignore tenacity, that would be really annoying. Since his E is a knock back and his Ult would ignore it. I think it would be pretty broken, I mean that might as well make it an aoe Vi ult.

I think there's a difference - mainly because Hecarim's ultimate splitts enemies instead of garthering them. Consider Ammu's ultimate - or Sejuanis. They not only last longer, but also set up wombo-combo's for your team. That's somethign which Hecarim's ultimate does do - AND his CC already has a significantly shorter default duration.

Right but now your getting into Tanks vs. Fighters. Sejuani and Amumu are both supposed to be tanks, meaning they have high CC and low damage. Hecarim is supposed to be a fighter meaning moderate cc and moderate damage. If we make hecarim have high CC and moderate damage, then we have a problem. Also, both of Amumu's and Sejuanis can be affected by tenacity. Also Hecarim can follow up big time on his own ult since he is a fighter, if you raise the CC on it he basically becomes an assassin. He could ult in, separate the support from the ADC, and then kill the ADC before the support can react.

This whole thing is about trying to give trade offs of counterplay to the enemy, so I think it shouldnt ignore tenacity in order for it to be balanced.

Actually the DPS of a Sejuani investing in Ap (item 3151 ) is REALLY close to that of a jungle Hecarim (considering the item 3025 path jungler take, not the item 3078 midlane Hecarim invest in)

Also not that his burst got lowered in above suggestion, shifting him slightly more into the tank role.

P.S: I can't see how 0.35 seconds (the amount tenacity grants the ADC if he buys tenacity, most don't) grants Hecarim to 100-0 a timeframe. Nor do I believe that any Hecarim unless horribly fed can 100-0s ADC anytime soon.

EDIT: Also note how much damage AP ammumu deals, it's A LOT.
