@ Riot Do you intend on removing Crit once and for all in the Marks Update?

Because Crit is in my opinion a broken mechanic. LOL is a game of skill that requires you to fight very well for every inch, every piece of gold and cs. Crit is a mechanic that says "hey lucky strike I win" - that takes all that calculation and skill for trades etc and tosses it in the trash.
I doubt they will remove Critical Strikes. The marksman update will be similar to the juggernaut changes, but for ADCs. Some champions will be updated and maybe some a new item or two.
But, we'll see what they will come up with.
I hope they do, luck based mechanics are stupid.
Why would they remove crit?
RNG is always a shifty mechanic. You hit that random crit in a 1v1 at bot with your 1% rune? ADC can already start to carry and it's only been 10min.
With that said, I doubt it'll be removed since...I don't know what would be a good alternative. DotA and HoN don't really know an alternative either for crits, but for other items they do (every 4 hits = proc (and every x seconds, a 'stack' goes down which leads to less time before proc)...which somewhat ends at a balanced 25% if constantly auto-ing, without the extremely lucky 4 crits in a row scenario vs the 0 crits in a row)...Unless you waited for your 1 crit at 100%.
But even then, ^AS becomes even more essential for ADCs.
I don't know.

yeah I once did it as a Cait twice in a row with 1% at bot lane. Sadly My blitz tower dived bot for the kill and thresh hooked him giving the enemy Ashe 1st blood.
Accounting for crit damage in your positioning and play is a significant part of skill.
Hearthstone is a competitive game based on playing around RNG. So is Poker.
Small amounts of RNG are what makes games unpredictably exciting.
It's gameplay that revolves completely or heavily on RNG that makes games stupid and unfun.
Like the card game "War", and Mario Party (fuck Mario Party. I never win.)
I disagree, at no time is it reasonable to take into account that a fully random lucky set of hits that will result in 200-250% normal damage (or put another way that their effective attack speed suddenly doubled randomly). If Riot designers want people champions doing 1000 damage per hit (I'm looking at you Draven), then they should allow for the consistant building of it. Saying instead sometimes it's 400 and sometimes it's a 800 is really a balancing nightmare because sometimes your balancing for 500 and sometimes you balancing for 1000 - and you don't really have control over when that is. What's worse is the wide range of attack speeds mean that balancer's have even less chance to tune.
But lets for the sake of argument turn it around. If crit is a good and fun thing for Autoattacks, why not have it for AP abilities? Where's the equality in AP? Where's my chance to crit with Orianna and Cassiopeia and Signed (etc etc etc)?
