Limmie3 votesI'm not thanking Riot for bringing back the same damn thing people have been complaining about since season 2. Duos have as much place in a solo queue as 4s and 5s. They promised a pure solo queue, gave us DQ, then they go back to the same duo queue crap as if it's a big improvement. Screw this and screw Riot. I'm not gonna pretend this is fine like a Stockholm syndrome captive that thanks the kidnapper for allowing me to get back to the damp basement after spending a year in the oubliette.

Not everyone has a problem with duos in solo queue. A duo is annoying but completely manageable and a massive improvement over Flex garbage and dynamic trash.
Putting up full premades against a pick-up team was complete insanity; Whoever thought that doing that was a good idea should be fired.

EndlessSorcerer1 votesConsidering Dominick Destine was Diamond in Season 5 (and Platinum Season 4), it is pretty safe to say they didn't need to be boosted.
Limmie2 votesSeason 5 and 4 had duo queue too so it proves nothing. No rank means anything in a queue that allows for premades, which is the whole point. Which is why Riot promised a solo queue at the end of season 5. They went back on their promise then, and went back on it now. Because they know that people who need to be boosted are gonna whine like they are doing now.

That hurts me so bad even several years later.
In S4, I was Diamond like 70% of the whole season and then I VERY STUPIDLY decided to play ranked the last few days prior to the season ending, where I dropped to Plat and ended at Plat 1. I was incredibly pissed for doing something so foolish.
But yeah, I am (obviously) not boosted, the guy is clearly projecting.

No, we didn't. Maybe you got what you wanted. But it's even stupider to have duos in solo queue now that there is a perfectly valid option for duo ranked in flex queue.

We’re sensitive to any large swath of players feeling like they’re losing their place in League and while we firmly believe in Dynamic Ranked as the future, the game’s social features don’t offer enough support for players looking for like-minded, similarly-skilled players today. Because of this, we’ll launch a new Solo Ranked Queue (no duo’s!) in the coming weeks.
