What are some "supports" I can play that do lots of damage and maybe some CC

I know "support" is one of them but i dont have the ip for him yet.

I was thinking would any of these guys work?

She does really good damage if you max Q first instead of W.

I know she can definitely do decent amounts of damage, I've played her a lot. However it's just she doesn't have that high base damage. Although, q can do quite a bit.

Her base damage on her basic spells isn't actually that much lower than Annie's, for example.

Her AP ratios are a fair bit worse, though.

In lane you can definitely do decent amounts of damage, just that her base damage is balanced around having cc or taking effect up to three times.

yes. she has good dmg, q cc, ult cc, w does dmg to opposite team yet heals your allies, e empowers your adc's autos (other allies' as well).

Your best options are probably:

Annie Velkoz Zyra Karma

Annie Poke with autos, poke with Q, at lv6 you can oneshot the enemy adc with only your base damage no items needed, you can either initiate or peel, in lower elos just go that blue 4 wards sighstone and go damage if you really need it

Karma Oppressive barrage of poke, cc, utility for days, with athenes you become a poke machine for mid-late and you also heal and protect teammates

Zyra Damage and uberpush, build Rilays and Liandry and you'll slow aoe while doing damage

Same as zyra, focused more on cc and damage rather than pushing

In my opinion annie is just pure gold, the only time i'm reluctant to pick her it's when top is riven, jungle is kha, mid is syndra and adc is vayne, because in that case you either need to play it perfectly in teamfights or you need to be naturally ahead, because a hard engage will just crush you, but until plat (where everybody picks DPS anyway) you should be gucci, annie support deserves more respect and attention, she's too good to not be played.

Learn what peel, powerspikes and rotations are, also try to put down like 50 wards in 30 minutes, never be without doing something, gank mid, learn to not kill your adc by doing that, ward the enemy jungle, call people to kill him when you know the buff will respawn, learn when engage, when peel and when disengage, improve your mechanics and learn how to harass in lane and win trades, when you see the enemy supp out of range and the enemy adc is going for an auto to last hit auto him with yours.

Why not just go midlane instead?

I understand wanting to bring some damage and cc to the support role, but you should actually be looking to support, not "support."

If you want a support with some damage, you should look into Vel'Koz, Sona, even Lux is fine.

All your suggestions are just cheese and not much else.

I was told im an ass laner with my playstyle and am better suited at being a super aggro laner. I usually push hard to get the enemy jungler and mid lane top for my team to pressure but I cant do it anymore because it stopped being fun because I either lose lane, crush lane but cant help other lanes, or i get attention but my team cant or wont do anything.

Karthus JarvanIV Are the best choices out of that group. Illaoi doesn't have enough CC and is hard to balance dmg/survivability, Yorick is too high of a skill floor / should only be used by Yorick mains / no hard CC, and Swain is not a thing. Karthus doesn't have much for CC but Deathfire suicide Karthus is pretty good as a pocket pick that can carry and is a stronger pick than other carry AP supports without having to use as much skill.
