Can B.F. Sword get a build tree path?

1300 gold is a large quantity to have just sitting around. Usually items that expensive have a build tree into them to "ease" the purchase. So can B.F. Sword get one?

I would recommend this path: item 1036 (350g) + item 1037(875g) + 75 gold = item 1038 (1300g)

That is the trade off of the item though. NLR and BF all are expensive because they're basic items that give a lot of flat AP/AD.

But why? If I need to back with less than 1300 (or 1250 with NLR) it would be nice to not just walk back without getting anything productive. It is not like more AD or AP is being added, just smaller purchases for the same items.

Thats the point. Its a big payout for not getting trashed in lane

I remember that, B.F. was 1550 too once. But currently NLR is 50g cheaper and offers 20 more AP (60) than B.F. offers AD (40). I don't mind if NLR gets a build tree too btw.

I've suggested something similar before. I can remember that item 1031 used to not build out of item 1029 item 1057 used to not build out of item 1033 item 1011 used to not build out of item 1028

And then, for defensive items, these nice changes were made. Riot said they were making these changes so that if you needed a stat but didn't have the gold required for the more expensive basic item of that stat (and the less expensive basic item of that stat didn't build into the bigger item that you wanted to get) then it wouldn't feel bad anymore.

This was never applied to offensive items. So I suggested build paths like item 1036 -> item 1037 -> item 1038 item 1052 -> item 1026 -> item 1058 item 1051 -> item 1018 And guess what was already in the game? item 1042 item 1042 -> item 1043 (I can't explain this one.)

When I made my suggestion, nobody liked it. I understand that. I didn't think it was needed; I just thought it would be nice (like the defensive item changes weren't needed but were nice).

There is a difference between the defensive items and the offensive items, though. Usually, if you're playing any champion, you know what items make that champion do more damage. If there is a mix of stats you need to deal damage, you know what they are before the game even begins. The only situational offensive stat is penetration, which you need to build according to your opponents' resistances.

Tanks' builds seem more situational. They build defenses to counter their opponents' offenses. Therefore they need to know who is on the enemy team and build reactively. Needing a Negatron Cloak and needing a Needlessly Large Rod are very different.
