I Read Many Complaints About Tanks But...
Practicing ADC has made me realize that tanks aren't the pity case here.
Because it is so awfully fun to die in 0.5 to 1 second because you end up stunned for twice the duration.
Flash aint gonna save you. Heal aint gonna save you. ADC is just fucking dead.
So, before anyone starts moaning about "I only get to survive 2-3 seconds of being focused", consider the fact that 2 to 3 seconds would be a blessing for ADC's.
They live at an entirely different pace. The scene blazes around them and they have precisely one instant to make a decision out of dozens or hundreds of options. And making the right choice on time places an insane amount of pressure on the player.
There's no, "Oh, I can try to walk up to this guy to see what happens and then make it out if it doesn't go my way."
No, ADC's don't get that luxury. What they get is a life of constant terror, knowing that at any moment shit is going to hit the fan and they're situated smack in the middle of the splash zone.
So excuse my skepticism on the whole notion that tanks are "useless" and "worthless". Because they aren't. They're just not as effective as they used to be. You still get to live 3-5 times longer in a fight than an ADC.
