What are the boards even saying?

K right now we're complaining about Fiora, and how she's OP, but 6 months ago, you guys were saying this.

"One thing I noticed that I told myself to keep an eye on: They listened to player feedback and kept the hair the same style! :D I'm glad about this, and she looks more fun to play than just facerolling the keyboard and winning. % true damage? Yeah, that's pretty OP, but it's a reward for playing skillfully."

"There's lots of hate in the comments. People who are happy with change don't voice their opinion nearly often enough. So I will. I love the new Fiora. She's just as dangerous as ever, except now she actually takes some skill and practice. She has a new escape, a wall jump, percent true damage, a guaranteed crit...and it actually feels like i'm dueling with someone instead of hitting a nuke button when I press R. You guys did good work Riot. Forget the haters."

"I don't even care that they removed the ult, and I'm open to change, but this rework isn't very good. Bad stats all around the boards."

"did you miss the part where she gets bursted down? And that she has to hit every single proc to do that much? Vayne can do the same thing from relative safety, has a more reliable, less conditional stun, not to mention invis and AD steroids... if I'm going to be squishy as balls, I'd rather go vayne top..."

"You can praise the new Fiora design all you want, but don't you dare try to call her strong. She's garbage, and you're too new to realize this. I wasn't surprised when I looked you up and saw that you're relatively new to the game."

6 months ago, you were calling the new Fiora garbage.

NOW>>>

"Fiora really needs a nerf, once she has a couple of kills she is unstoppable, CC won't help, damage won't, tanks don't do anything. She is literally, the bursty-sustained damage-tank-hyper carry of league. She can burst down any tank, her ultimate is on like a 4 second cooldown at max rank. She deals % health true damage that heals her. CC won't help, she can just counter it and stun everyone, her ultimate heals for a complete bullshit amount. Black cleaver and ravenous, and she's unkillable. There is no counter play. She bursts down squishies and assasins. She is a massive tank buster, and she just ults someone she can kill and gets all her health back!"

So she's built 2 damage items (that she built pre rework) and is now unkillable tanky bs that should be nerfed to the ground.

This is an excellent reason why Riot should not take the word of the Boards seriously because they have no concrete opinions about anything.

I do realise the items changed since 6 months ago? Titanic Hydra Fiora became a thing and now she isn't just a strong damage dealer, but also an extremely bulky fighter

But the person who is complaining about Fiora is complaining about Ravenous Hydra + Cleaver Fiora, not tank Fiora.

No, it's the exact opposite.

Fine, let me clarify the quote,

I'm talking about the quote that starts with " Fiora really needs a nerf" and says that Ravenous and Cleaver Fiora becomes unkillable.

item 3748 Fiora is the main problem. I haven't seen item 3074 Fiora complaints.

"Black cleaver and ravenous, and she's unkillable."(this was taken from a post wtith over 30 upvotes)

There, people are complaining about item 3074 Fiora

But it's not like 6 months ago she was garbage to begin with. The only people who said that were the idiots who like to trash talk something within 2 days of it's release then scream OP 4 days later when things have settled.

Her abilities can be fine tuned since they were so well programmed into the game, so if Riot does see value in nefing Fiora, you can be sure they arent gonna make the mistake of making her unplayable again

Technically her kit is healthier now than before, where you would simply gapclose, hit R, then go make a sandwich as you racked up triple kills. That's not saying much, however.

But things changed from six months ago. Items changed, masteries changed, her counters became less meta. The champion may still be the same, but the game morphed around her. Also, Fiora mains have gained the skills needed to hit vitals on a reliable basis, when back then they did not.

Right now, her problem is that she has enough damage in her %HP to build tanky and still do tons of damage. Probably the best thing Riot could do is make her %HP true damage scale with her bonus AD in some way, so that if she builds tanky she won't get free damage. Something like for every X bonus AD she gets 1% more HP in true damage; while lowering the initial damage to compensate for the scaling.

The problem is honestly that riot doesn't give champions time. Knee jerk buffs when a champ doesn't over perform on week 1 are a bad idea

Masala Chai1 votes

But there were no hotfixes for Fiora in 5.15 and she has had nothing but nerfs since the rework.

Verxint1 votes

At this point, they've reverted most of the knee-jerk buffs they did for her. I think she's OP and I main her, but Riot apparently doesn't. I don't think shes as broken as people here sometimes make out (as is boards) but she feels way too powerful.

Reading a reworked kit is different from playing against it. More at 11.

Masala Chai1 votes

But people were playing her on the PBE before it hit live right?

{quoted}

But people were playing her on the PBE before it hit live right?

A very small proportion of the playerbase were trying it out in an environment very unlike the live environment as has been demonstrated multiple times. The PBE is basically useless for testing balance since 90% of games are mirror matches with players wanting to try the new kit and then stopping after one or two games without actually learning the champ.

fair enough, but my point still stands.

This board circlejerks too much.

of all the things you would think more cassiopeia players or people playing against them complaining that the removal of her now having move commands well spamming twin fangs is like riven without the need to cancel for auto attacks :P

Ralanr1 votes

I finally bought her to try her out. Went against a Riven.

Now first off: Fiora is pretty fun with her vitals, but her Q automatically procs them if aimed right, rather than needing to use an auto attack to proc them. This means she can deal a good amount of damage while out of some champions range.

I built her with item 3748 and item 3071. Not full "juggernaut" build, but she could use them effectively. Sure when I got focused I got destroyed, but with how easily she can move around in teamfights, she can be hard to catch before she sets off her ult. I later built item 3072 for lifesteal and by then I had over 300 AD while being in the upper 2000's in health.

I didn't steamroll the game however due to some teamfights that I got destroyed in. But I was doing enough damage to be considered a "carry" and it was the first time I played her in a long time. So a very skilled Fiora sounds like a goddamn monster.

Her Q is the biggest problem really. I never really got ganked because of how low the cooldown was without hitting another champion. I had ways to avoid punishments for my mistakes except for heavy teamfights (which, she is a duelist, so that makes some sense).

Plus how can you punish her if she goes in? If she hits enough vitals in a 1v1 then she'll win unless you have enough burst to take her from 100-0.

She could use some tuning. She's really frustrating to fight.
