Can Zyra's plants not die just by looking at them?

Seriously, I've been trying so hard to pick her up again recently, but it feels like everytime I try to get some plants out and ult they're dead before my ult even goes out.

Yep. She's been nerfed for like months now. I tried getting attention to this but everyone is so butthurt about her being OP 3 years ago that they refuse to acknowledge it.

this is so fucking true, like everyone is always talking about how op her old kit was and im like HER OLD KIT IS HER FUCKING OLD KIT, IT DOESNT EXIST ANYMORE

Zyra is my #2 support. While it is frustrating for the plants to die so quickly, you also have to factor in just how much stronger they are for purposes of taking dragon. They're amazingly good at soaking damage that would otherwise goes to champions. I'm not saying they couldn't use a slight buff, but this was a nice buff she got alongside the previous nerf, so just don't consider the nerf in a vacuum.

In regards to adapting to the way they work now- I actually like to take Aery on Zyra and just be a nuisance in laning phase with a Q+W combo every time Aery is up. One hit is enough to safely proc it and you really can whittle the enemy ADC out of lane if they don't have a healing support.
