Season 4 vs Season 9 Game Speed Differences
Season 4 vs Season 9 Specialist (outliers) excluded from the stats as well as records (normally because cheese tactics) excluded. Meaning champions like Talon won't be factored in 1st blood timing and champions like Tryndamere won't be factored in for towers nor Nunu for dragons.
Season 4 Averages First Blood - 4.5 minutes First Tower - 14 minutes First Dragon - 14.5 minutes (first tower was usually bot lane then rotated for dragon after) First Baron - 33 minutes Game Length w/o surrender - 39 minutes
Season 9 Averages
First Blood - 3 minutes
First Tower - still looking for this stat, will update when I find it, I'm guessing about 10.5 - 11.5 but I'm not sure
First Dragon - 7 minutes
Herald - 18.5 minutes
Game Length w/o surrender - 28 minutes
I believe keystones are the biggest factor here, but that's my opinion because I can't find any stats or research to prove it. Champion kits have been changed for more tower damage. Damage and CDR are more accessible early. Jungle sustain is also a factor when it comes to dragons being completed earlier (I don't remember if smite and jungler items had already been implemented in S4 but I don't think they were).
On my last post, people were criticizing my complaints of Elder Dragon because "cOmEbAcK pOtEnTiAl" Based off the time differences, I feel comeback potential wouldn't be something necessary to implement if the game was slowed down again. **League is way too fast paced. ** Don't get me wrong, I'll still choose this over the slumber party that's DotA2 but this is starting to feel like Overwatch. I love Overwatch and depending on my mood, prefer it over League. But when I prefer to play League, I don't want my League to feel like Overwatch.
