When Yasuo breaks it again, can we officially rename it to Weeblord's Bloodlust?

Can we just get rid of keystones?

Azurith24 votes

Honestly, I may be in the minority with this opinion, but I like the idea of the keystones. They give the idea of player freedom with talent builds and can lead to interesting play styles. The problem is that the current talent trees are to cookie cutter. Everyone picks the same thing for the same champion and have to use whatever the dominant key stone is for that champion or not be able to play the champion to its full potential and get trolled by team mates.

The talent trees themselves need to be reworked all over again, honestly the old talent trees offered more diversity than the current ones and you could get away with different builds easier back then, they weren't that different and cookie cutters were dominant back then too. This is the issue with tying so many modifiers into the trees. All they did when they changed the old trees into the current was cut down the number of options and added the key stones. Less options doesn't exactly lead to diversity, when the majority of the talents are still dmg/def modifiers.

I like the idea of key stones because they encourage developing different play styles depending on how you want to build the champion but again the current trees and even the current Key Stones, which are just bigger dmg/def modifiers than the rest of the talents, don't encourage this idea at all. This is also the same for most item builds. Diversity just loses to the strongest cookie cutter. Making talents more unique and less numbery would be a step in the right direction I think, and can lead to better key stones. But this is my opinion, figured I put it out there. The new Warlords definetly is a step in the right direction though.

I too like the keystones.

The problem is, IMO, that keystones as a whole presented a whole lot of extra power that wasn't in the old mastery system, especially offensively. Thunderlords and DFT and Fervor provide a ton of extra damage that you couldn't get with the old masteries, and the game's base statistics were not updated to match.

I think that the keystones were a good idea overall. I think that we should have seen an update to the game itself to compensate for the greater power coming in for every champion, though.

you've never seen a garen with CotC dominate before, when i asked him about he said "i ike the picture"

RottedApples5 votes

i saw a garen that had cotc carry a game in like. mid/high diamond from a stream i was watching. the man had an infinity edge on top of his normal garen build.

Leetri1 votes

Weren't they talking about potentially making a broader tree with more distinct options so not everyone picks the same thing?

LordGeovanni1 votes

Riot needs to balance things with lower values for ranged champions given their range so ability to deal damage first and safety. or we could word it increases for melees since lower for ranged champions triggers everyone

Can we just get rid of keystones and Yasuo?

Leonerdo16 votes

Nah, it's no better on him than the old one. He's still gonna take fervor every game.

SaltyKracka10 votes

What, not "Weeblord's Waifulust"?

Pleb/10

RavenMagus1 votes

Well, Yasuo is by definition not a waifu, so...

Ackelope3 votes

Yes, but the apostrophe indicates that Yasuo is the weeblord, and he's lusting after a waifu, not that he is a waifu.

RavenMagus1 votes

I guess you do have a point.

Sraeg20139 votes

So it interacts with crit chance again?

Riot sure does not learn on their mistakes.

Photos of Ghosts2 votes

It doesn't, it's just like lifesteal but instead of being based on actual damage dealt it's based on your AD. And just like lifesteal, crits double the amount of healing

Sraeg20133 votes

So Yasuo will have 2x the healing for majority of the game, while most other champions will statistically have 1.50-1.75x the healing much later than him.

Your name tho...

Zero Skill Tank2 votes

My name is perfectly OK as long as she was 15, isn't it?

The Ecdysiast1 votes

At any point where it would be okay, the girl in question isn't going to be little.

My suggestion for when you get the notification telling you to change it, go with "IDidUrDaughter." It's not as universally offensive. And still fits the message you're trying to send.

How is Warlord's still in the game when they took out Strength for being "stale"? Healing with auto attacks is actually a toxic mechanic, and as long as it involves healing and autos, it will be impossible to balance.

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Which is why they're changing it to a periodic punctual healing

The Yetii Rider1 votes

Strength was picked by literally every jungler, because it was the only PVE keystone.

This became problematic because champions that aren't supposed to be getting tanky were getting tanky without investing any gold into it. Champions like Lee Sin, Amumu and Nautilus will find 300 health useful and largely redundant. Champions like Nidalee, Graves and Evelynn can pull off plays they simply shouldn't be able to with 300 extra health as long as they aren't diverting from their full damage build to get it.

Warlord's was picked by every carry, which actually was a problem less so because of the healing and moreso because then ADCs weren't dealing enough damage in team fights without lethality because crit and AS items were nerfed to fit the old on-hit Fervor and then on-hit Fervor was ruined.

Basically Warlords has to be gimped enough that it doesn't matter in lane, so champions aren't forced to pick it to survive laning phase. Then they aren't shooting rubber bullets in team fights later.

All in all, crit just needs to get its damage back and Riot needs to either let Fervor die or accept that adding so much base damage to the game is going to cause issue when you aren't nerfing the champions themselves to compensate.

NewGuy1014 votes

Actually, this is to encourage ADs to build crit instead of lethality, or at least give them a better footing.

Yas has 3 keystones he can get (Thunderloards for burst, Fervor for damage scaling, Warlords for health sustain). I don't think he can abuse the new Warlords to much. The movement speed is only for .75 seconds and the lifesteal is abysmal early, crippling his previous sustain in lane.

Photos of Ghosts4 votes

NO. It doesn't interact with crit any more than lifesteal does. It's absolute lifesteal, before taking into account damage reduction from any source.

Anu3isII3 votes

I'm not really sure Yasuo would want it over old Warlords, but we will see

FantasySniper1 votes

Yasuo doesn't even like current Warlord's. Fervor is his only reliable keystone right now. But the new one: his mobility will make it proc extremely often, and compared to Marksman, he will benefit significantly more (they don't say exactly how it's amplified) because he's guaranteed to get that enhanced proc. If this new Warlord's comes out, he'll be even drain-tankier than he already is at the moment.

BattleMan693 votes

It works with crit chance how?

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Exactly as much as lifesteal, it's a lifesteal based on AD instead of actual damage dealt so marksmen don't get too wrecked by tanks when they should precisely be good against them with their DPS

Huh... how good is this on Riven, then? She doesn't need the extra damage from Fervor or Tlords, or SRS's mobility, or CotC shield to keep up with others, and she'll proc it very easily.

It's shit on Fiora though, if it gave the %lifesteal for .75 seconds instead of just on 1 hit, it'd be amazing, but as it is, Fiora's damage is from multiple autoattack resets/pseudo resets and she only heals from the first hit, which is basically a normal auto. If it weren't, she could heal 50% from her burst combo... holy shit just thinking about that feels sooo nice.

As it is, Fiora needs Fervor to keep up in damage.

Yaśuo Main2 votes

It's kinda funny how it seems more effective to me than fervor.

xevi1 votes

I think the damage fervor provides is really nice for those level 1 and 2 cheeses or when you're gonna play the lane aggressively. Warlords is probably better when you'll have to play the matchup safe or against something ranged with high mobility. I think the only reason Warlords seems more effective is because of the ms boost it provides. Fervor doesn't provide the same amount of burst as TLD or Grasp and doesn't really have much of a visual effect.

AmazoX1 votes

Let me correct you.

You only want Warlords on Yasuo if you know you are going for short trades and are going to power farm.

35% lifesteal, bork onhit applies lifesteal too, so...

The Ecdysiast1 votes

35% lifesteal already and the auto attack probably did 1000 damage because he was Draven.

It's the circle of life, most item changes for Marksmen get abused by Yas.

Most item changes for assassins get abused by select few in the marksmen class.

Guys, let's not forget Jhin

He gets, what, 600 AD with his standard build?

There's no offensive summoner name report on the boards.

From what I've seen... It's XinZhao breaking the new Warlord's Bloodlust worse than anyone.

xxxDogmanxxx1 votes

Xin Zhao currently has a 49% win rate with the new Warlord's Bloodlust vs 53% with Fervor of Battle. He isn't breaking anything.

NGNL Asian1 votes

Notlikethis

Meep Man1 votes

At least he won't break it like before where he could use it early game extremely well. I doubt 1-8% AD Life Steal every couple seconds (potentially 2-16%) will help him too much.

MFTORANK11 votes

It's even better than it used to be, if you play correctly you can take trades and be back to full health in no time, I really like it.

Salron1 votes

Yasuo isn't going to be using it He's too reliant on Fervor for damage

YuGiHo1 votes

I would be happy if they gave warlords spell vamp now that its an energized effect and let it trigger off spells
