I don't want to Fear minions!

Both Fiddle and Nocturne rely on getting their burst on the target and keeping them from getting away with Fear. The combo has to happen pretty fast (especially for Fiddle) to avoid losing kills and it's frustrating to Fear a minion once in a blue moon. I know there's Target Champions Only but I'm also trying to get all their abilities off in addition to Smite, BoRK, Hydra, Ghostblade (sometimes all at once) so it's not exactly easy to press yet another key while doing this.

Moreover, I see no reason why either of them would ever fear a minion in a real game. I can understand that it's useful for jungle monsters and I'd like that kept but it makes no sense for minions. In Fiddle's case, Fear doesn't even do damage so it's not helpful for CSing. Nocturne's E does damage but it's not burst and it's not worth the 60 mana in CSing situations or the vulnerability it leads to.

You just killed someone as fiddle with an auto and your drain is on cooldown, You have a melee minion next to you walking towards you and your snared. If the melee minion attacks you will die as your on 10hp. You fear the minion and you survive, you don't fear the minion and you die.

TLDR; learn to use point and click abilities in a minion wave

What more wisdom do you have? Perhaps "never get hit by skillshots and you'll win"?

What would be a nice feature is if, just as there is a way to set abilities to "smartcast," there were a way to set them to only target champions. Then the "champion only" control would function as an "any target" control, so you wouldn't lose any functionality. I cry every time Volibear chomps a minion as a top laner, but it's important for junglers. Such a control scheme would benefit both

Yes, Riot's keybindings are woefully inadequate. You can't even use all your keys. For example, I can't set Shift to be Attack-Move-Click by itself. I also can't switch Attack-Move to my left mouse button without editing configuration files. Your idea is very good and most of the keybinding changes I want are actually due to specific champions.

I dunno about shift, but you can make a key attack-move-click. Mine is a.

Set a hotkey to turn off targetting non-champion units.

I have one but I don't see why we'd go through that complication. The chance that it would be useful to waste the mana and CD on a minion is so abysmally small that it isn't worth considering.
