What if we gave Akali the Azir treatment?

What I mean is make it to where her shroud's duration is reduced whenever she is under tower.

Or, possibly, make it to where it takes more time for her to go into stealth when she is under tower, that way she can get hit by tower shots.

I'm not saying this because I hate Akali, and want to see her die in a hole. Instead, I want to play her. I devoted an entire month to playing her, and even have 2 mastery 7 tokens for her sitting in my loot table.

I don't care if people ban her more than Yasuo, I can work with that. I just want to be able to play a champ I like without feeling like I'm having the champ work against me.

Unfortunately, Riot is against removing her true invisibility, so, I'm just trying to find a middle ground, that way she can get some power back into her kit, and actually feel like a real champ!

And to make things worse, this isn't a situation where Akali is strong in pro-play, and must be toned down so she doesn't dominate the pro-scene. Sure, she's good in pro play, but nothing like Azir, Ryze, or Kalista where they thrive on twitch gameplay, and team coordination.

I'm not necessarily against the suggestion, but we should just remove the Obscured mechanic since that is the root of the problem.

Emphasis on "should", since Riot seems to be vehemently against this.

Her true stealth under tower (or at all) is not a problem. When is boards going to drop this non-issue?

She re enters stealth too quickly period, not just under tower.

Yeah, I expected this to be a "gut Akali" thing. Riot does not want to do that to their pets or assassins in general. Only mages and Kalista. :)

But the shroud is just stupid. Her whole kit is just built to be frustrating and not fun but being able to literally live under your turret is the most nonsense thing I have seen so far.

I wish Riot would just admit they are wrong and revert her shroud to her previous one and get rid of true stealth. The champion is so bad in Solo Q because she literally cant carry games and true stealth takes up too much of her power budget. All theyd have to do to make her good again and not as frustrating are these few things.

  • Just remove true stealth and revert her shroud to pre-rework
  • Lower the size or remove the passive circle from hitting enemies with abilties
  • Reduce the delay between R1 and R2 from 2.5 to 1.5 or 1 second

Boom. Shes less frustrating to deal with as true stealth is gone and it allows her some power back without actually buffing her numbers. This pushes her back towards an assassin and less like a skirmisher which will make doing her job of assassinating and carrying games much easier in solo Q.

Just remove this "true invisibility" nonsense. She has more mobility, damage and sustain than Fizz while making his E look like hot garbage.

You could remove the shroud entirely, and have no ability to replace it, and she'd still be permabanned every game.

For those saying that pro players are reflexively banning her, or that she is not a problem, etc. just check out Chovy from Griffin doing a 1v4 and getting a double kill after taking out their turret. Happened just a few hours again. Game 2, Spring Split GRF vs HLE. She is, in no way, balanced.
