I understand jayce mains are gonna come out of the woodwork and downvote this to all oblivion while saying hes balanced but hes really not, he can get away with building full armor shred and still come out of it being absurdly tanky and hard to kill, I understand hes supposed to be leagues tanky/hyper-carry/adc/fighter/assassin/jugguarnaut/caster hybrid....but come on man tone him back a bit, getting tired of seeing him every second game

freeloader251 votesi dont like this idea if its fixed mana cost, because it would punish him too much when he uses transform for reacting on the enemies actions, especially if he is kinda low on mana. other champions only have to pay the mana for the ability they want to use, but he would have to pay mana just to gain access to the ability he wants to use which is problematic and a bit too punishing imo.
i could imagine something like %current mana as mana costs tho. this would hurt pointless stance switches in the early laning for the sake of switching but wouldnt gate him so much in all ins etc.
another idea could be to actually give it a fixed mana cost, but move his mana on autohit in meele form to his ultimate passive in the form that he is punished for not using his stances properly and rewarded for doing so (something like if he triggers the bonus dmg on his meele transformation he gets mana back)
Warlord Scrap1 votesitd be punishing if it was fixed how. If he conserved mana properly and not wasted it tryning to super poke with his eq combo it would make him more auto focused early game and more tactical in how he approaches figths.
freeloader251 voteshe'd be forced to stay at high mana all the time. if he gets under 50% mana he might aswell recall because hes not able to react properly to what his lane opponent is doing.
just imagine jayce vs riven or renekton (or another champ that can close the gap really well). jayce is in ranged form and farms. said enemy jumps onto him so he has to switch to meele form (costs mana) and use his e to disengage (mana for the only ability he wants to use). the enemy retreats and both go back to farm. jayce now has to choose if he stays in meele form and takes the risk of not being able to farm properly because he cant trade with the enemy in meele form or if he changes forms a second time (costs mana) to be able to farm. he had to pay mana for 3 abilities to use 1.
it would be easily abusable by enemies and ofc would punish mindless usage of his ult but punish the correct use at the right times as hard. dont forget jayce is supposed to be really strong in lane and fall of later on, this change would make him far to dependend on his enemies actions for being a lane bully (this doesnt mean i dont want him to be able to react to everything without drawbacks, but i feel limiting the possibility for him to use his tools when he gets forced to use them isnt the way to go). thats the reason i feel like punishing him for mindless spam is fine, but hitting him for using his skills the right way is not.
Warlord Scrap1 voteseven if they reverted the mana cost nerfs to pre nerf and the change was at 20 mana. It would force hime to rush tear rather than lethality which is were most of his opness comes from.

A person would have to be delusional to believe this. This champ has everything a champion can have with no weaknesses. He has insane melee burst damage, insane long range poke, great sustained damage , engage, disengage, a knock up and high mobility. Jayce really has no weakness.
