Its interesting to note that, I don't even think its actually possible to use his E mid fight (like, at all; since taking damage makes you lose all stacks of escape velocity)

E seems to be purely an initiate or mobility tool, it seems to be impossible to use it as an escape practically.

Also worth noting that his stars disappear completely when he's stunned or silenced.

His design and abilities are boring.

That is my only complaint... and I say this as a large fan of Dragon lore.

Not even sure if he will be op, from the looks of it he will only be able to effectively serve as a jungle. Which i myself find a tad bit disappointing! Was excited at the potential use of another ap mage mid. However as it stands i think he would have quite the difficult time versus champions with range Xerath Velkoz Lux or those with gap closer to by pass his passive Zed Leblanc Fizz . Guess it remains to be seen how strong his base stats are and how tanky he will be.

I feel he'll be a good jungler and an average laner. With his core items in the jungle being item 1402 item 3116 item 3157 (I think his passive will still go with Zhonyas up) and then it's up in the air depending on his ratios.

Sorta what i'm thinking he gives off that vibe that his lane potential will be similar to Karthus

The funny thing is that Karthus is also a better jungler than laner. Aurelion won't be terrible mid, but I think his kit will work better in the jungle due to his high CC, mobility, and AoE damage.

He's actually Whisp. Rito has lost any form of originality.

So, he tethers to an ally to buff them (Kalista's shtick)

His orbiting stars explode on enemy champ contact (Which would be Diana's orbiting moons)?

He drains his mana and HP for bonus AS to him an his tether target?

He can relocate himself and an ally to another position (which would be Tahm Kench's ultimate)?

Why in the world do ppl think he can jungle?

  • 0 sustain

  • 0 defense

  • 0 mana regen

  • bad ganks

  • his passive can barely hit jungle mobs

This is why. Strong aoe for decent clear times and long range ganks from nowhere (Think Sion's ult with no steering but can go through terrain). Using his passive on jungle mobs requires a bit of finessing, but it's nothing a player can't figure out.

just that his clearspeed despite passive isn't that great, and he drops hard. Any strong early jungler can counterjungle the shit out of him, and the ganks aren't really reliable as he can be spotted over walls and moves in rather slowely(compared to sion ult or any gapcloser). Counterganks could come huge though.

If you just want to do a fly by pick Zac who was actually made for the jungle instead of a slow, aoe Mage. Based on how much he was struggling to clear, I'd even pick jungle Brand over Aurelion

He's perfect. Nothing to complain at all.
